PORT TREVORTON, Pa. — The aromas coming from one Snyder County barn are not your typical hay and manure smells. Lavender and citrus permeate from the barn loft as two women busily create soaps from goats’ milk. The goats are downstairs, happily accustomed to the scents as they produce more milk for the new business known as Barn Loft Soapery. Rachelle Berg operates a hobby farm in Port Trevorton.
