Barrett Junction Cafe closes after decades of backcountry love
BARRETT JUNCTION — Since it opened in 1946, the Barrett Junction Cafe has provided a welcome respite for weary drivers along rural Highway 94 seeking a bite to eat, a drink and a restroom. Over the years, it became a popular gathering spot for community groups and a busy hub for motorcycle groups, classic car clubs, politicians, newlyweds and skateboarding daredevils who drove for hours for the opportunity to ride the downhill hotspots.
