A proposed charter school in Danbury will soon have a new organization to head it up, but it still can’t open without the necessary funding in place. Meanwhile, the tuition-free Danbury Charter School still hopes to open in the fall. Critics of the school say they believe it would drain money from the city’s underfunded public schools. Others counter however, and say that the charter school would give parents an option to choose the right learning environment for their kids.
