Firefighters in Southbury were called out Monday night to battle structure fire on the 700 block of Fish Rock Road. Not a lot of details yet this morning, but we have learned that the fire marshal has begun an investigation into it. So far, no reports of any injuries.

A woman from New York was arrested in Danbury after a long investigation by police who say she used a fake ID to finance her purchase of a vehicle at a car dealer on Federal Road almost one year ago. 35 year old Victoria Mendez is facing four felony charges, including first-degree larceny, conspiracy to commit first-degree larceny, second-degree identity theft and second-degree forgery involving her part in the financing last March of a preowned 2020 Chevrolet Tahoe for more than $60,000.
