Now here’s Sheridan Media’s look back in time, to 100 years ago, by reporter Pat Blair as published in the Sheridan Enterprise newspaper on Jan. 29, 1921. In the largest number of prisoners ever sentenced at one time in the history of Sheridan county, District Court Judge Burgess sentenced seven men to the state penitentiary and one to a term in the county jail late this afternoon. The Sheridan chapter of the Red Cross has issued an appeal for used clothing with which many calls for aid can be met. Five pounds of sugar is 48 cents at the Basket Stores and Market in Sheridan.
