Richard A. “D.D.” Dingey, 82, of Barton, Ohio died April 26, 2021 in Wheeling Hospital. He was born February 15, 1939 in Midway, Ohio, a son of the late Darl Elijah Dingey and Mary Drosky Dingey. Rich was a retired state mine inspector and former employee of Consolidation Coal Co. He was a member of the Martins Ferry Elks, the Fairpoint Polish Club and the PNA Lodge #455 in Maynard. D.D. was an avid bowler, golfer, baseball, and softball player. His recent interests have included farming, logging, and taking care of stray animals. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Ron Dingey; sister, Lucille Skrtich; and his other parents, Blanche and Stanley Stando. ....
Apr 4, 2021 BELMONT COUNTY Council of the Ladies Auxiliary will meet at 6 p.m. April 6 at the Neffs American Legion. APPLEBEES IN St. Clairsville is partnering with Belmont County Animal Rescue Sanctuary for Applebee’s Together We Care program. The event will be held from 4-8 p.m. April 6. People can also do to-go orders. Half of the proceeds from the sales of meals will go towards the medical care of animals the rescue takes in and helps to find their forever home. JERRY’S WALK-Illuminating Suicide Awareness will be hosting a virtual Walk for Suicide Awareness on April 25. There will be a Facebook Live event for the Walk beginning at 1 p.m. that day. You may register for the Walk at www.jerryswalk.org. There is a cost per person; each registrant will receive a cotton tote bag.
