LONDON (May 10): The country’s textile industry especially unique and creative fabrics such as weaving and batik has great potential to bring the nation to the international stage and become a profitable commodity, said Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob.
The thousand-year-old Pahang weaving tradition will be showcased in London for the first time as part of the prestigious London Craft Week (LCW) in May.
KUALA LUMPUR: For the first time, more than 300 pieces of hand-woven fabrics in the Royal Pahang Weave collection made by prisoners at the Penor and Bentong Prisons will be displayed during London Craft Week at the Malaysian High Commission building in Belgrave Square, London, from May 9 to 15.
