Bengaluru news: The city to face scheduled power cuts on January 28 due to massive maintenance and repair works by BESCOM and KPTCL. Check the list of all areas impacted by disruptions.
BESCOM officials said that they have been working round the clock to fix it. “Whenever we get any complaints, we immediately attend to them. We request the people to dial the helpline numbers and complain about any loose wires so that we can fix them,” said a BESCOM official.
“While Nagendra pulled the guy wire it came in contact with the LT circuit and he got electrocuted. There is no fault of BESCOM in this case,” said a BESCOM official.
The initial months of this fiscal year witnessed a sluggish start, with only Rs 1,225.99 crore collected in April 2023 compared to Rs 1,529.25 crore in April 2022. Officials attributed this slowdown to the Assembly elections, but the momentum picked up from May onward. In May 2023, Rs 554.11 crore was collected, surpassing the Rs 532.69 crore in May 2022.
