While it’s not unusual for cable and streaming services to make renewal announcements throughout the year, it’s less customary for broadcast networks to make decisions about shows that are canceled or renewed in February. After all, for years, broadcast stations made splashy announcements about their schedules for the upcoming year in May, at events known as the “upfronts.”
In 2020, however, the traditional upfronts went away, as so much of life -- including TV production -- was thrown into turmoil because of the pandemic. As the past several months have demonstrated, networks may announce a TV show is returning on a certain date, or is in production, when instead plans change and shooting comes to a halt because of reported cases of coronavirus.

A hill farmer has criticised visitors to the countryside who treat upland areas as a 'playground' with bikes and 4x4s, creating a trail of 'mess and devastation' for local farms and wildlife.
Beth Holt, a sheep farmer from the Rossendale Valley, Lancashire, took to social media to call out the 'grown men' who 'shred moorland to pieces' with illegal activity.
Beth, whose family owns an upland flock of predominantly Swaledale ewes, issued a viral plea which has been shared over 6,500 times.

Off-roaders trashing Lancashire moorland, says farmer

A Lancashire sheep farmer has called for an end to the “mess and devastation” caused by off-road vehicles ripping through moorland in the Rossendale Valley.
Beth Holt said drivers of the 4×4 cars and motorbikes had trashed the land and created ruts that sheep get trapped in and speed up the flow of water from the hills down to the bottom of the valley, increasing erosion and flood risk.
Ms Holt’s family have kept sheep in the valley for generations and she said the biggest issue facing the uplands was the destruction caused by the off-road driving, which has increased significantly over the past 10 years.
