Shirley A. King, 82 of Summerfield, Ohio Shirley A. King, age 82, of Summerfield, Ohio, died Saturday, February 27, 2021, at her home, surrounded by her family. She was born October 5, 1938, in Durango, Colorado, daughter of the late Gail E. and Stella F. Brewer Thompson. She graduated from Bayfield High School in Bayfield, Colorado, and the Bible Missionary Institute in Rock Island, Illinois. Shirley was a member of the Marietta Bible Missionary Church. She loved bird watching, reading, singing, and playing the piano. She enjoyed the many duties of being a farm wife: gardening, canning, working in the hayfield, delivering calves, baking homemade bread, and churning butter from the farm’s dairy cows. She was a loving wife and mother who was always willing to make any sacrifice necessary for the good of her family.
