In 2021, Clifton resident Randy “Yisroel” Settenbrino, originally from Crown Heights and who grew up in Borough Park, was on a mission to prevent his award-winning project, The Historic Blue Moon Hotel, from becoming a casualty of the COVID-19 pandemic.

He is campaigning to save the hotel. First opened in 2006, the Blue Moon Hotel is located on 100 Orchard Street, the Bicentennial Block, across the street from the Lower East Side Tenement Museum.
