Henry and Stark County health officials have announced a new COVID-19 vaccination clinic for next Friday, May 7.
Registration for the clinic is open now for anyone seeking a first or second dose of the Moderna vaccine. The clinic will be held at Black Hawk College-East Campus, 26230 Black Hawk Road, Galva, IL.   
Those eligible to participate include anyone 18 years of Age and older who have not yet been vaccinated.
For those who don't speak English or who don't have internet access, call the health department from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday at 309-852-7242. The number of appointments are limited.

Health Department to offer phone-in vaccine registration

The Henry and Stark County Health Department and the Henry County Office of Emergency Management announce they will open a “Phone In” Registration for the COVID-19 Vaccination Series. 
Those eligible to participate in this Phone-In registration are any Henry and Stark County residents age 65 and over who truly have no internet access.  The number of appointments is limited and will be given out on a first come, first served basis.  To register please call the Health Department at (309) 852-7242 Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. 
Sandy Sommer, RN Director of Clinical Services with the Henry and Stark County Health Departments states, “Please note, we encourage family and friends to share this information with anyone over 65 years without internet access.”

County health officials have announced the online registration system for First Dose COVID-19 Vaccine Drive Thru Clinics will open up again on the morning of Monday, March 1.
This registration will be for a clinic to be held on Friday, March 5. Those eligible to participate are those in Phase 1B, which include all Henry and Stark County residents age 65 and over, and remaining healthcare (1A) and frontline essential workers (1B).  
At this time, due to shipment delays and the number of the present 1B group members (65 years and older) that are still unvaccinated; these clinics will not be opening registration to those under 65 years with co-morbidities.  The State of Illinois is leaving this guidance to the local county’s discretion.
