court, for the second time in two years, reversed nearly 50 years of precedent on an issue that has significantly helped improve the lives of americans. last year it was undoing protections for women to make decisions about their own reproductive health. today it s undoing the consideration of race in college admissions, which has let helped level educational opportunities for minority students, like me. 30 years or so ago. it is a court that is looking to move the country backwards. as president biden told msnbc s nicole wallace earlier today. it s done more to unravel basic rights and basic decisions than any court in recent history. and that s what i meant by not normal. i find it just so out of sorts with the basic value system of the american people. and i think across the board the vast majority of the american people don t agree with a lot of the decisions this court is making. he s right. it s not just of the radical conservative supreme court is undoing dec ....

the last scheduled decision day of the term, we could finally get some answers on some massive undecided cases. rulings on affirmative action, student loan forgiveness, and lgbtq+ rights among others. decisions that could impact all of us, and they could come down at any minute, and we have a full lineup of guests and experts on this. i want to begin with nbc news correspondent julia ainsley who s standing by at the supreme court for us. julia, set the scene there, how might this go down? reporter: well, you re right, this is the last scheduled day, ana, but we re expecting another day possibly to get on the court s schedule for tomorrow. that would leave just two days left in june when they typically wrap up their term, and they have these three huge decisions left. so doing the math, we expect at least one of those big decisions to come today, either when it comes to religious rights versus free speech, religious rights and lgbt rights. of course affirmative action, ....

houthi fighters say they will continue attacking vessels in the region of the red sea. this announcement comes after they launched a drone attack in yemen on a us commercial vessel off aden. the escalating tensions in the red sea have many analysts concerned that the impact of these attacks will drive up the cost of living. some companies had to take a detour around southern africa, driving up costs. mukesh sandav, head of oil trading, rystad energy, describes what is at stake in the markets. what is at stake is that a lot of crude oil, up to four million barrels a day, moving from east to west, and that is bought by russia, by india, by china, that s at stake and that also stake is a lot of vessels which move towards europe. i would say all this, as we re talking about a sizeable number of barrels of crude and products will all of this get impacted or only a part of this will be impacted because what we have learnt is that the system finds alternate ways of re routing ....
