   Voter turnout for the special election in Genesee County was 12.67 percent.
   Genesee Health System is a behavioral health organization set up under state law to serve the mental health needs of Genesee County. 
   The measure will add a new 0.94-mill property tax on Genesee County residents to be in place until 2030. It’s expected to raise $9.5 million in the first year.
   This would raise in the first year an estimated $9,595,118 to be used as follows: 100 percent shall be allocated to the Genesee Health System for mental health crisis, stabilization and prevention, and to meet mental health needs in an appropriate setting, thus reducing the burden on jails and improving care of all Genesee residents who seek help. ....
