No more than ever we need to watch out for one another.
It has been a tough year and a half for all of us. From losing jobs, the pandemic, homeschooling the kids, and more, everyone has had a boatload of stress added to their lives. Sometimes it all just becomes too much for some people.
Most of us have lost someone to suicide and with the heightened level of stress in the world today, we need to watch out for one another now more than ever. That is why the Genesee Health System is launching a campaign to help those in need. This campaign is trying to get those that are struggling to speak up and reach out.

Genesee Health System is a behavioral health organization set up under state law to serve the mental health needs of Genesee County.Â
The measure will add a new 0.94-mill property tax on Genesee County residents to be in place until 2030. Itâs expected to raise $9.5 million in the first year.
This would raise in the first year an estimated $9,595,118 to be used as follows: 100 percent shall be allocated to the Genesee Health System for mental health crisis, stabilization and prevention, and to meet mental health needs in an appropriate setting, thus reducing the burden on jails and improving care of all Genesee residents who seek help.
