The Baltimore County Council can now revoke some planning projects after they have been approved.
The County Council has passed legislation that would allow lawmakers to retroactively revoke planned unit developments if they inherit them from a former council member. Previously members could only modify or amend plans.
The sale is a disappointment to elected officials and residents who expected the vacant factories, often described as an eyesore, would be revived as a residential and retail destination on the county’s east side.
