Meteorologist Paul Douglas and climatologist Mark Seeley will speak on the weather and the link to climate change at the Rosenmeier Center’s next virtual forum at 7 p.m. April 19.
The dual presentations are titled “The Climate Conundrum: Threats and Opportunities for Minnesota s North Woods.” They’ll discuss weather/climate risks in Minnesota opportunities for resilience and renewal.

Four students from Moorhead State College are joining the new national craze of bedrolling. They started from Little Falls with a bed frame on bicycle wheels headed for Moorhead, a distance of 150 miles, to break the current record of 141 miles set by a Univ. of Chicago group. They re pushing along the shoulder of Hwy 10 at 3.5 mph.

When he was 26, Harvey Caldwell knew he wanted to be a health care administrator. Fourteen years ago this month, he stepped into the CEO shoes at Brainerd Regional Human Services Center, and says he hasn t regretted it even once. Caldwell, who oversees a staff of 655 and budget of $30 million, retires this month. ....
