MassDOT: Traffic Volumes Worsening But Not As High As Pre-Pandemic Levels

Apr 28, 2021 BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — New data from MassDOT shows that traffic has gotten worse as Massachusetts continues to reopen, but traffic volumes are still not as high as they were before the pandemic. MassDOT said traffic volumes between March 29 and April 11, 2021 were down 5% to 14% from 2019 levels. In contrast, traffic levels in mid-April of 2020 — at the height of the pandemic — were down about 60% from 2019.
