Iowa holds the first in the e nation status, one we hold very dear to us yet know other states have challenged whether we should hold that privilege. On monday night more than 350,000 registered voters turned out for democrats and republicans. That breaks down to 186,000 republicans and 171,000 democrats who participated. That equals nearly 16 among those eligible to vote. The republicans numbers were much higher than there 2012 turnout, but the democratic paicipation was lower than the turnout in 2008 when barack obama got his first big victory.
