The U.S. Department of Transportation will invest more than $27 billion on bridges and transportation infrastructure across the country. The DOT's Bridge Formula Program, created by President Biden’s Bipartisan Infrastructure Law, was signed last November.
The Biden administration recently announced a new $27 billion program for bridge repair. The funding has been allocated to states based on a unique funding arrangement.
Louisiana is set to receive $1 billion over the next five years to improve 400 bridges throughout the state as part of the Bridge Formula Program included in the bipartisan infrastructure package.
