This is . M m. M m m m m m m m m m. M. M m m m. M m. M. M. M. M. Good evening everyone. You're in the right place at the right time this is coast to coast am blasting out of the Mojave desert like a. Blazing across the land slamming into your radio like a supercharge nanoparticle of unobtainium. Most outrageous city in the world the planetary capital of sun fun since Sex and secrets my not so humble hometown Las Vegas Nevada My name is George Knapp your occasional host designated driver of the airwaves and moderator of upcoming cothurnus cavalcade of conversation folks we are not letting any moss grow tonight we're getting right to it we have such a cool mind bending program to unravel for you pretty jazzed about it so we're going to try to move some things around that make it all fit you know as you know from time to time when I am here in the big chair we talk about reality the nature of reality what is real what is it why sometimes things feel more real than at other times you know we delve into consciousness though none of us really knows what it is or where it originates at tonight in this hour one of the premier thinkers and writers on these questions about consciousness perception and reality is here. Has written a highly provocative book that is shaking reality itself or at least human understanding of what reality might be he is a professor of cognitive science at you. See Irvine and Manny's uncork a bottle Laden with a genie or 2 it's called The Case Against reality if you know your Matrix movies you know what it means to take the red pill once you take it you never see the world the same way again we're about to gobble that red pill right on down our gullets Professor Hoffman is slated to join us in this half hour later in the program our friend Paul Stonehill a Russian writer and best gator of odd phenomena and government secrets joins us to share some new research he's dug up about Russian and Chinese scientists what they're doing up there in the frozen north not just the Russian tundra but up at the top of the world maybe touch on the diet law passed mystery as well I know that's a favorite of our listeners here on this program. 1st though as you have undoubtedly seen on social media and various news casts the storm area 51 weekend came and went there was no misguided move to try and rush the base by a big throng of people or crews over the line and a bunch of R.V.'s or Winnebagos a few 1000 people showed up out the desert took a lot of photos and selfies they wore tinfoil hats and alien garb they ate they drank they listen to music and mostly behave themselves or a few minor arrests a few traffic incidents but mostly just good clean twisted fun by a mostly young crowd I read an article today that proclaimed you know this isn't the best way to actually see aliens to which I wanted to say. Exactly what is the best way to see aliens by the way because I don't know I doubt any of the 2500 or so people who tracked out into the desert expected to see aliens or expect that the military to open the doors of the hangars at Area 51 let them inspect flying saucers or anything else that's out there I saw a lot of to Sgt risking by u.f.o. Authorities about how this is no way to win respect there we all need to get on the same page about disclosure and why did they have to wear funny costumes and I was wondering whose This week they're talking about that they did they all come out of the womb old and crotchety they remember what it was like to be young and have fun for some noble cause necessarily but for their own sake. Anyway the event came off no one knew what to expect because there were so many news stories done that the locals didn't want anyone out there I wrote some of them myself you know the authorities were out in force Thank goodness the event's original organizers announced it was canceled a week ago a lot of things happened a sort of sabotage this event but it happened anyway people came anyway and my guess is it will happen again one of the people who was there for the whole thing is someone whose name and face you will likely recognize Dave Foley as an actor and comedian he made a big impression early in his career with a show called Kids in the hall and since then he's done a long long list of movies and t.v. Shows recently he's been seen on many of Joe Rogan's pod casts pop into the role of devil's advocate a foil to Rogen a u.f.o. Skeptic a fully welcome to coast to coast great I'll be here I will grow I just love me to be with you i'll you for one I'm doing well a 1st of all it was great to finally meet you at the shindig out there I'd like to know if you did you have fun was it worth the trip out the to the desert I had a fantastic time in mind for one thing it was just it was just beautiful to be out in the desert in especially when the night came in the you know it was silly but just this incredible could have done so much stars over top and and just a great a great community of people and so I had a really terrific time you know there seemed so much written about it as I just alluding to some of it in statements that were made to us you know the predictions from the locals this is going to be disaster don't come you know please it's it's it's it will overwhelm us the organizers saying it's cancelled and yet people showed up and you're among them there were there were more people at the Rachel event than at the Heiko event but there were people going back and forth between both of them all week long right. Yeah I think it was very communal between the 2 locations I know I know we went back and forth ourselves. Yeah I think you're quite right it wasn't like people were coming out there to see aliens and it was much more about I think coming out to be part of the community and I enter and to raise awareness. That people want this to become. A mainstream topic they want this to become. Something that everyone deals with I don't know if you've ever been to a formal u.f.o. Conference or not but I can tell you that this is not the standard u.f.o. Crowd that you see at those events a lot of newcomers drawn to the area for a party just to say they were there at the 1st one and it and a lot of self mockery too you know a vocative in creative tinfoil hats that's poking fun at themselves but there was there was a serious side to it and you were part of that on Saturdays supposedly at an event in a place where everything was canceled what happened. Yeah but we you know we had a bunch of people we had Jeremy Corbell you know you know very well very direct problems armory we had a u.f.o. James myself Jim Goodall who's an old friend of problems ours you know. For Missing Juana. And we to sort of all got together and had a chat at the at the. Research Center the research center right thank you and just sort of had a chat about I thought about your photos and some people's experiences with your photos and and sort of the. The sense that. That we're reaching a tipping point I think in the culture where it's no longer going to be a source of mockery and I think I think part of that is when you're talking with you about all the young people showing up I think it is a new wave that lets. Burdened by all the anger and frustration of the past you know 70 years I suppose and we're just excited about. Where the world is moving you're not a u.f.o. Guy I mean I've seen you I've Why I've heard you on on the air in these conversations you're hardly a wild eyed you follow just you know the guy people who would say everything up there is an alien craft but you have had sort of a change of heart I think so what happened I mean did your pal Joe Rogan play a part in that. Well it's weird because when when Joe when I used to do news radio . I believe that I believe there was that means to the u.f.o. Phenomenon. In the ninety's you know especially after the Phoenix lights and things out and I had my friends whose one friend's father was an air traffic controller who had told her that you know that pretty much every air traffic controllers that he knew had had some sort of an experience and had been debriefed by the government because of it and then another friend whose father was a commercial airline pilot and she was told by her father that pretty much every commercial pilot. That he knew had seen something so I was I had a certain amount of credulity from that but I used to be very skeptical about things like the you know event damage and then the aliens and and Joe used to always believe that you know the that aliens built the pyramids and I was very skeptical about all that and then when I was going to go on his progress recently I you know texted him to said Joe you'll be exact here are 5 become obsessed U.F.O.'s lately and and he texted back oh I've gone off that. He had been when he was doing here Sergio question very thing interview had done a bunch of interviews with. With people on the full committee and he didn't find any of them credible and I think they put him off and we decided your photos were not real that it was all crazy and because I came out of the same time you know after the. You know I think right I remember your work back from the time that you did the 1st problems are interviews and I remember the the best evidence documentaries you did and those aggressive me a lot. And then more recently I think James Fox's movies out of the blue and I know what I saw and just the quality of the witnesses and the detail of the research really impressed me and those movies and then I thought Jeremy's movie which was also really impressed me and it really gave me more in-depth knowledge about Bob And I've ever had and I really found Bob incredibly. Credible and believable and he seemed very thing and so then I went on Joe's part test and basically told him about all these things and man is good in that sort of a weird turn about get a job back into the u.s. For a world. Well to lead the world thank you for that. You know skepticism is a good thing in this because you know it's a good tool and you need it and you don't have to dig too deep to find knuckleheads in this in this subject so I can understand why both you and he would go back and forth Well I think scepticism is a great thing but I think I think the skeptical community. Has become its own kind of dogmatism. And they basically don't bother with facts anymore because the facts are interfering with their skeptical outlook we'll have people who will build the bunk one small element of a of an event like that the sick tactic. Of and. Say well it could have been this could have been a drone that stable to maneuver left and right and then say so there so then all of the other things we can ignore but I think skepticism is becoming extremely sloppy and and lazy. Well I have to agree with you and that tic tac is a good example just throw whatever up against the wall that sticks you know it's see it's a better job of regular plain of excuses Yeah there will be you know where you have to believe like when improbable things happened all at once the simple things usually created the same mistaken impression or you can believe that trained professionals saw what they saw. So you'd sort of been lurking on the outside keeping an eye on things secretly. The fact that you knew all those references and goes way way back that's I'm surprised yeah no I as I said it's been a renewed interest in the last few years and. And it's. And it's written then after a couple going on the. Contest I'm talking about. You know your home and they have an office in their minds system which is the fact that we have. The Pentagon confirming that U.F.O.'s are real we have the may be coming out and saying you know the videos we've all seen of us are real and authentic and you know publications like The Washington Post New York Times basically saying your cars are real and when you get used to that and still. Some social conditioning. Is still prevailing on people to just plain not pay attention. As you are sitting there in the Alien Research Center yesterday what are the questions that are people are asking you I mean today they recognize you as a celebrity and that carries certain that certain amount of weight are they surprised that you're there or that you're out in front of this issue. Yes some of it is just what the hell are you doing here and and that last question Is it comes after how do you get so old with several people. Or the other one and one question I was asked was are you George not. One point. And then you had to disappoint them and tell them no I'm not George Knapp. It's the hair it was yeah I think the white hair through every woman but yes it was a sort of accident where my eye was there why it was important to me and. You know and again and I know I'm going to do a conversation with people about whether or not I believe that the the American military had already reverse engineered and built crafts that could be you know gravity propulsion. And you know and which I don't think of them I'm sort of a beacon in that it's that if I agree with problems are that if anyone had had figured it out they would have used it by now especially if the u.s. Figured it out because the u.s. Has never failed to use any technology that it's ever figured out yeah especially if you figure that the same craft with these kinds of characteristics of unseen back into the 1940 s. I mean we've got a weapon system that we've mastered that we've had since that long we haven't used it that that's that stretches credulity a little more than almost more than aliens visiting our planet much more so yeah I mean yeah they just sat on it or get the notion that it was some other that some other countries technology because if that if another country had that technology. They would be rooming house you know if if China had that technology we would all be we would all be we would all be. Learning to speak Chinese right now. They probably I appreciate you coming Eric and I presume if there was of an event next year you'd be interested in going out there to store Mary 50 want to get I would definitely be there yeah. It's a great time awesome thank you for joining us for the report from the field and we'll have to have you back and have a longer conversation some time I would love that you know I'm dreamin sense of the so I was afraid that I was you know expired on consciousness and I really wasn't I wasn't. We'll have you back on that one next time you're going to have to bone up on that one no thanks they are shit when I go to a break now when we come back we will have Dr Hoffman Donald Hoffman and talk about consciousness reality and a lot more Stick around we'll be right back with more coast to coast am. Welcome back everyone so as I said at the top of the show we kind of moved some things around so that we could fit in all of the guests that we had lined up and so has delayed some things for later in the program so that we could have Dave Foley report about the storm Mary 51 thing and then Donald Hoffman was to be here in this half of the program to talk about reality we can't find Donald Hoffman if you live next to Professor Hoffman maybe go walk over next door bang on his door see if he's around but for the time being I he is not find a bowl and so we're going to have to move on with the program but Paul Stonehill has graciously agreed to join us earlier and we have so much to cover with Paul this might work out really well Paula if you don't know and October of 93 he was featured on the magazine a story about something that he had created earlier years earlier called the Russian You followed your research center that's the 1st time I came I became familiar with his work his areas of expertise are Russian history Soviet covert operations warfare in the former u.s.s.r. Cross cultural training paranormal phenomena in Eastern Europe Russia Central Asia and China and there is so much stuff going on if you haven't seen Paul's. You Tube page it's it's filled with stop any cranks out new articles all the Tom time Paul thank you for joining us and thanks for coming on early at a moment's notice Well thank you for enlightening me so this is going to be a short segment because we kind of got things discombobulated here but I'd like to start with Di outlaw I don't think there are 2 or 3 topics that get under our skin of our audience more than die out of the dialogue past these mysterious deaths can you at least for the next couple of minutes give us sort of a recap Diane and then we're in the next segment after this break coming up we'll get into what new research and photos you found. Yes of course the jobless pass. This event took place 60 years ago and it's still one of the more just. Interesting cases and tragic cases and in the Soviet I would say criminology and the whole paranormal phenomenon basically you had a story of 9 tourists this is the term that's being used in Russia hikers who went to a remote area in the northern you're also Arctic you're also in basically perished under very strange circumstances and. You know one day when when it did not count go back to the camp as they were supposed to in February of 159 all of a sudden people started swearing and a whole group of. Searchers one out looking for them much bigger in importance then the 9 group of a regular students should have. Called for and. What would your bodies were found in February and then in me with the very unusual damages to do to the bodies and and the circumstances or around very unusual because. You do there were reported u f O's in the area and also. A local indigenous people were being blamed for all of this and. It's a very complicated case for we don't even know how many bloodiest were found at the site and I'm trying to bring in this information over but anyway this was the best I would in one skier so hi chris a tourist from the Northern Europe and the circumstances are very clear this guys and girls very very much dreamed to do what they were supposed to do well and they stop wish to camp or to listen to the un down the slope of a mountain call I doubt so I'll tell you what all we're I'm sorry interrupt I'm sorry that this as segment is so messed up but will come back and pick up the story in just a moment but those coming home from storm area 51 is Ted Nugent doing a little storm trooping of his own. Accepted this world this past week he packed a heck of a lot into his 75 years on Earth the great performer and producer of of course lives on in his music if you just tuned in you're wondering what's going on in this program we had scheduled Donald to be here to talk about his new book The Case Against reality we've had some sort of a miscommunication because we can't find him anywhere but our guest Paul Stonehill agreed to come on early to talk about his research into other mysteries and the former u.s.s.r. And China and the Fahri. And we've got a lot to cover with Paul including the dialogue past incident we had a little truncated segment there that was sort of my fault and we're back on schedule that law pass if you're not familiar with it this occurred back in February 1 19899 skiers and hikers they all were from the Ural poly technical institute were on an expedition they were inexperienced trekking group and they they were all killed they died it actually might be more than that some of them seem to have died from hypothermia and exposure others ex experienced terrific physical trauma not exactly clear what shredded them what ripped them up what seemingly drove them crazy Paul Stonehill has a lot of information on the case including some new information and want to get into that in just a moment in the next segment stick around much more to come here on coast to coast am. Got a great healing story for the boy in the house David you're a guy that has overcome the viewer issue by the light light bulb one on a nice good to research. I was going through a capsule. All Stonehill my regrets My apologies for that truncated segment there but now we're on track let's talk about die out law passed 1599 at least 9 skiers hikers in the Northern Europe mountains end up dead the cause of death is still a mystery the actual investigation it's still a mystery Is it difficult even to this day for you to get information about what happened. I'm getting information any way possible and I'm getting it on a weekly basis so it's it's you know the information is is is a possible to get the question is how much information we have no idea why out for example very popular Russian t.v. Personality. Under a lot of was just like a month ago in the area and I really appreciate his work because he was able to get more than other people would and he has a number number one question for that he brought up including how many hikers actually that perished and he brings up information which I wrote a body years ago there were 11 of them apparently 2 there were 2 that were taken away because there were allegedly children with Soviet top so the general of the loo Schenkel who were also with the group and the. This asserts that they were taken away this hikers all of them and they were taken away from the site and day were probably tortured or something was done to them to it illicit information and then they were killed or they were already killed and not tortured and they're brought these were just dropped down. By you know helicopters flew flew away this is one of the versions but again 11 bodies he also mentions above the snow itself that the snow in the area is very unusual and he points out that this is what happens when the you have rock at this and one of the hypothesis I also looked at had to do with stage over rock at that possibly fell down in February of 159 and was witnessed by this group of people and they paid for that they were killed or they were killed by their rocket or maybe they were killed by do poison that came out from whatever was being tested The only problem is we don't know enough about this 9 people that perished we don't know all information there are days there are rumors and absence I'm sensitive information that's on work e.g. B. Members who are accomplished and the group of at least one of them was much older with them and also some of them carried radiation. A matter on and under clothing yes one of them worked in a defense plant in the Urals I mean it's a secret wrapped in an enigma and in my channel just recently I put forth a number for the girls that were never of the level to researchers they just showed the extent of the rescue operation George. There were other cases of Soviet tourists who fear East very strange cases for example but. Nobody organized such humongous operations to to find out what happened to them the human life was not at such a value in 159 in the northern new world and also the shame for attempting to put this all on the local indigenous monsoon people Id had nothing to do with this from my research and. Is that the government that's the government has tried to do that blame them oh no that's what we don't you know the government in the Soviet Union was not like the government let's say in the United States or somewhere else they could do whatever they wanted under handily to the government of a modern Russia right now there is an open investigation being done by this sort of last. Prosecutor's office but they're only looking at 3 aversions which are completely it has nothing to do with you of all those with nothing to do with rockets falling down or children of some Soviet general perishing No just natural and they don't want to listen to anybody else presenting other hypothesis and they don't want to look at these old cases that were being investigated by initial investigations likely everyone off so but also the government in prosecutor's office collected all the files from an official group represents just love silly and w. Ill for research they took everything including diaries they were supposed to come out with with the results of the government investigation in August of this year it's being pushed knowledge to towards the end of the year or 2020. We've heard those kind of stories before would it make sense for a group like that so they all work part of the Wikipedia page they all hold work for this Ural Polytechnic Institute or were or were students or something from that would it make sense for them to have a k.g.b. Type Attash a along for the trip other than just a social event that that k.g.b. Person wanted and wanted to be part of the trip well if there were more than one why do you know it's people and the same k.g.b. You would keep an eye on the children of the general but I think it was more than that I mean Norton all of North euros is not China you know where the United States I think. They had to be guarded away from something they were not supposed to see and I don't want to over estimate but the general says is a very special place there's always a lot of paranormal phenomena and incidents like 157 lie yok incident where you know they were very very bad impact on on the environment with the secret laboratory explosion Dale also had some. Instances of what your logical weapons that were being Studies at the very least and people died out whole villages did the Soviets did as many experiments as they wanted him to area so this guy's this people were not supposed to see something I think but at the same time we have information that actually some of them might have been in the area to meet up with American agents CIA agents and what actually happened was elimination of enemy agents group that went badly so you are getting this hypothesis while the government only wants to talk about this snowboard the avalanche or the very bad weather conditions in the area as I remember reading about. And hearing about some of the injuries they were almost like an animal attack this terrible horrible injuries physical endurable horrible some of the courses want one window done 11 of them died from explorers or and what some died. By internal numerous body injuries someone known nature and who are like their bodies were born who were crushed and you know what some of them had parts of why do you disappeared you know would God love what he had no injuries but the rest was done however when God's love the head of the group he got a job love when his body was autopsy the doctors found cracks in his skull the horrible blow was inflicted without any damage to the skin now the female of the expedition who was the closest to that then she was lying face down. But there was no while it's found in on her body but it through corpses and did this dance presented this largest mystery they died from horrible injuries their ribs were broken had smashed in in through to internal bleeding in these body how kids who do you sustain such injuries with their skin intact and some bodies were of orange color This was confirmed through the lead Russian investigator of id I'm sure enough Rolf who was the 1st one to bring the story of the 11 courses local government ordered you know cessation of the investigation they took it away from very gentle investigation there were military people all over we don't know what happened you can see in one of the latest videos I presented the funeral death took place and a mass of people that came out and but the bodies were fine not mistaken and the scene caught the coffins. So you had said that the this area the Ural had a lot of reputation for a lot of strange and paranormal as well as military secret military type activity. Is there any kind of legend of creatures or something that could have done this before we go there. I remember that some of the people had left their tents ran out without any clothes on or very little clothing like they were panicking or had gone mad is there any indication that maybe there was some kind of a panic inducing a weapon that was being developed by the military and that these people were maybe test subjects. I don't think the military would have tested it in that the area but thank you for being for taking it up actually this is one of the high pocket why hypothesis has always been the so-called golden The one this is a creature or I bought it like creature that has been a little legendary for I would say thousands of years and was known to the faraway as there why can glance and all over all Russian in Asia it's a it's a being that demands horrible infrasound streaks when she is bothered I'm saying she but I'm not sure what it is if it's a robot let's say it and apparently just as short distance away I quoting to the research I did and Phillip Mansell together there's a moment and we're local people have reported that it exists and it's destroyed local some wants to try to challenge it. And the. Bean for impact it's a voice carries in the moment and so it's it's it's lives in a leer not far away you didn't might have been bothered by this students because the injuries they suffered and also the way that they ran out from the dance like you said I'm dressed. Indicates that there was a horrible panic infrasound can mass op human psyche it's known sailors have died from death in the ocean and of course whether such weapons were being created even in France they were working on the front however unlike that type we don't know if they exist but the Soviet Union went to the United Nations I think in 160-1000 airline 170 s. And said that we have to abandon all such weapons you know one of the mysteries that you think you've explored and that we're going to cover tonight in a in the next segment is about the wild men of the north sort of the Russian version of Big Foot and yeti and I don't know if there are any legends about them or stories about them being violent is that an explanation for de outlaw I don't believe it at all I mean no no no no reports of anything like that in the immediate area I know that people like to come up with sensational stories in my research of the wild man or should chewing out war you have to you call it with a world. You know their violence is limited by example by such creatures throwing rocks at humans but never but never you know actually I talking humans humans and dogs them they did they do still females for for physiological needs wants and once in a while and and you know I don't think there's been many cases after 970 s. Because there were pushed away from the northern territories. I don't think anything like that would have happened in. The case and please understand you know there was such an impact on the area around for example they've found. In fact directed. Energy Weapons and trees around the area too and. It's being studied but I don't know how much the government is doing and what but this is was this this is was one of the effects that they found. On the death of pass cases also. You know for like objects were reported in the area too very interesting because there were actually normal rocket launches in the in the area where which would be which terrorists they doubtless passed the mountain where they were found so a lot of strange and unusual events took place about the same time but again we're speaking about the Urals and a lot of things have been falling there how competent would you be that the government investigation that you mentioned earlier will get to the bottom of this and that if it does that it would be made public. I absolutely not gone from that at all and I'm not the only one I you know brought up for example of an agreement a lot of he is a very very nice very smart person and very well connected and I'm a lot says that he says it it still amazes him how long this mystery goes on and he says that he believes that there is a document somewhere what has a solution to the awful fast he says that we're not seeing it and he did a lot more law himself right to right to run from the town to do this either and it was almost impossible to do although he is well trained and he did other things he was when he was inside not longer goal so he still doesn't know was it whether it was a matter of testing a medical product in humans and that time on humans or whether they became witnesses to a test of a chemical weapon because what if a gas leaked out from that weapon and force them out from the tent and he says again this fence skin color where did it come from he is he is of the opinion that you know he's not sure whether torture thrived on the spot and then scattered or more likely taken away and then returned back I mean when a person like that talks millions of Russians fancily learns the Russian which his program and he wrote are very interesting information so I would like you know some to him a lot of those kinds of programs I mean your only connection to that Paul not to pat you know too hard on the back but I mean there's so much those kinds of investigations that go on in Russia in China in the Eastern Eastern Bloc countries of former eastern bloc countries and because the language barriers there's no way for most of us in the West to ever get exposed to that information so you're in a unique position and we we appreciate it thank you. In the next segment we're going to go into the stories about some creatures not only the Yeti creature type creatures that you've investigated before but also some some strange things that have been seen under the sea under the ice and like that a lot of ground to cover with my guest Paul stone hell will go into the break with a song from Eddie Money one of the music world had to say goodbye to any money this week as well here is one of the many hits that he'll be remembered boards called Shake and we'll be right back. And that was a single number 3 from the bands from 1995 Thom Yorke of course and leave vocals the sound of Radiohead and fake plastic trees Charlie readers allow us he says don't do it by the band is my choice for tonight and Robert middlemost gets in touch he says a figure of minus $25.00 or $6.00 to $4.00 by Chicago which has an infectious relentless rough by would also nominate pick up the pieces by the band and Robert listening in from till he could train school and also mention to John how money says I missed the show the past few weeks the dreaded night shift he says but listening in Portsmouth and loving the chins he said just. Well at the Glasgow people know that the mighty slow readers club will be playing the Gary John the 21st of December the gate is not to be messed because I reckon it will be absolutely Biblical and they Jason parks gets in touch and says Every day is a holiday every night it's a party by the sense he says Shaun the to say that only one song priest or excels Opie that saw the ele and culmination with a guy called Cooper employed in the band get dropped Jason says the song should have been a hit with the brass heavy hooks he says also songs by blood pop seen Mahtani the senses a sense we've become translucent LP He says both the they both tapped into similar claims decades later he says so I'm playing the unsung overlook out God knows why it was not a single and also John Cooper gets in touch he says For me it's got to be so say Johnny in the ass predicts talk to me written by some guy called Springsteen and he says I'm feeling that but James Brown and the Famous Flames I go you I feel good OK rightly going to play this track in last week's program but we can't run a chamber of is there going to slaughter and then there are way back in 1901 Grace Jones went to compass point in the Bahamas with Chris Blackwell and there a guy called Alex said can predict the production choice and the end result was a lot Mark album cold night clubbing it really was a great piece of work and they when they reissued nightclubbing in 2014 they put a lot of bonus tracks on the IT ALL should be recorded and those particular sessions but for some reason never made it on the finished album so they kind of added the mourners they do when they reassure a record 2nd time around and there this is a song that was originally on a Gary Numan album called replicas away back in 1977 in 79 and everything that I think Grace joins us when she takes another song she little 8 Chrissie Hynde puts her own stamp on her and I think this is a great version of a great song one of the bonus tracks on the 2014 reassure of nightclubbing This is Grace Jones and her version of Gary humans composition me I disconnect from you. If you are on 2 or 3 occasions. When you. Are not. And I greet version of Gary in humans meet I disconnect from you. My nomination would be the boy by Billy Bragg the trumpet. That we played earlier on the program by you to. The brand new single from Sam fender and Ring of Fire by the late great Johnny Cash. The talking heads was a great record cold room. Grace Jones album was also recorded in compass point should use in the Bahamas and also in Philadelphia where David Bowie most famously of course called the Young Americans and 1905 this is talking is David Barton leading the charge. And we're back with Slade will take your calls as well Neal are there some brain foods that are great for the brain Oh absolutely there are would you recommend well . First of all probably if you if you talk about truth investable you're going to be on a good good core. If there's no particular one food that's going to ensure that your brain is going to keep you sure but there's some pretty good guidelines. 1st thing that comes to mind to me is is omega 3 fatty acids these unnaturally found in in fish. You know the Japanese live very After the longest lifespan in in the world and they have the largest consumption of fish rice and fish rice and fish but you know something for somebody like me who's a vegetarian that could be problematic except for the fact that you can get eat ha and I'm sorry you can get you can get those types of Omega 3 s. That are found in fish in. Algae based or else where the fish get their Omega 3 s. From the fish eat the algae and then they haven't but you can also directly get that from from algae based on make it trees as well berries flavonoids which are the natural plant pigments that give berries or brilliant colors help improve memory. Tea and coffee which would be surprising to some people. Walnuts are a very good source of healthy fats and of protein and of all the nuts walnuts are probably. The best food for your brain I remember years ago when people were talking about what foods to eat they said that the shape of the food and the look at the food actually reflects that part of the body that it aids and if you look at a walnut It actually looks like a little brain doesn't it it does it does so there may be some truth to that. Green leafy vegetables of course are very good so you know. The Omega 3 s. And fish berries teen coffee. What's bad for the brain what's bad for the brain I think probably most people would guess that high amounts of sugar. Or are not going to be good for the brain anti that refined carbohydrates probably is the thing that comes to mind the most. It's not foods but a lot of pharmaceutical drugs are not good for for your brain in terms of the long term health effects of certain kinds of Brugge drugs will have an effect on the brain but alcohol is going to have some detrimental effect alcohol in in moderate dosages I don't know of dosage is the right word to use but alcohol in moderate amounts is actually good for the brain and. So if you drink a little bit of alcohol each day that's beneficial to the brain and drink a lot of alcohol yes rockety good for you that's right let's take some calls here for you Mike the structure I mean in Ohio welcome to the program by Michael go ahead I get a winning Georgia male a since you called out Led Zeppelin I do have to defend them real quick. Music is a barrier a lack of playing rain oh yeah oh yeah absolutely right and I I take some of that back. Real quick question in regards to destructive habit smoking and when you delve into addiction of any form gambling or opioid how much of that is brain chemistry and is there is there any choice for the addict and not curbing was a. Good question well you know one thing that actually comes to mind when you talk about curbing addictions and this is actually come to light more recently is the use of certain psychedelics. There's been a lot of investigation that's been renewed into the use of Cilla psi been in terms of moderating and helping people to get rid of their addictions and in Colorado as a matter of fact they've begun to decriminalize mushrooms and in in Denver in particular. But there's been a lot of research that's been taking place in terms of the effect of tryptamine type of chemicals of which mushrooms and psilocybin and their effect and in helping people break their addictions to heroin and to alcohol. Way back in the sixty's even before it was made illegal l.s.d. Was found to help break some addictions so perhaps if a person can get into one of these research programs that might be 11 remote area of avenue that they might. That they might try why are more people prone or some people for alone Neal to addiction listen other people are not I think it's part of that is genetics and part of it is is going to be how they were raised you know. It's been shown that if you if your parents or if you're in an environment where there is drug abuse you're more likely to engage in that kind of thing yourself you know and back to answering that question you know we're not limited in terms of you know taking drugs such as l.s.d. And psilocybin in terms of finding a cure for addictions exercise is something that. Race is the endorphin level in in the body and endorphins are the painkilling chemical and hormones that your that your brain manufactures and releases so by introducing a higher level of endorphins that can also help to break addictive habits meditation can do the same kind of thing yoga can do the same kind of thing by developing good habits you can overcome the bad habits next stop we've got Julie in Columbus Ohio hi Julie go ahead Hi George Hi Mr Slade I've heard you want to tell you I attended the. Show when I was in town oh great and I was really impressed with your voice and how the whole show just flowed really well thank you very much you're well. I was like I just I have this like I am in a. I'm heading up into it like a man and I. Right now one of the. Obsessive compulsiveness and I use music to modulating my muse my mood yeah and I was wondering when I am hypomanic Romanic I am able to know things and do things that I couldn't do when I'm not manic Yeah so what my question to question one is how do I access my brain when I'm not manic where I can have that kind of knowledge and the other is what kind of music would you suggest to the beach or the temple or whatever to call me. Ok I did a experiment now when you talking about accessing more creativity and problem solving is that correct yes that's yeah I did an experiment a couple years ago which is called Music for e.s.p. And there's actually a website that I've built called Music for e.s.p. Dot com And we actually explored that very issue what kinds of music would elicit a problem solving creativity as well as perhaps elicit non-sensory information and and extra sensory types of information. And what we. What I discovered was was a couple fold one people generally listen to music as wallpaper for their other activities very rarely do people listen to music just sit and listen to music without any distraction and I think what people will find in general is if they use music as a prescription where there are no other distractions going on music is a very powerful force so in this experiment and we had 75 people involved of all different types of careers and trim and ages. Teenager all the way through to their eighty's what we would have people do is listen to music through headphones in a completely undistracted environment such as sitting in a hot bath tub in the bathroom with the lights turned out or lying in bed with the lights turned out or perhaps going for a walk and night and listening and really relaxing and passively listening to music without anything else going on. And the results were really quite extraordinary 75 percent of the people reported increases in creativity and problem solving and ideas were just flow into them without it trying just from the mere fact of the power of music and we use different kinds of music and the observation that we made and we actually used one person often utilized in the Igi machine to measure the brain waves. What we found was certain types of music that had new elements that were was not music that they were overly familiar with that was one important element it had to have new elements and new ideas within the music itself so if it was something that was that they had heard too many times before it wouldn't have that kind of effect if it was overly loud and too percussive it wouldn't have that effect so it had to be somewhat easy to listen to without being boring. We compared it with typical pop music like The Rolling Stones and Lady Gaga and that didn't have that effect so the parameters were that the music had to couldn't be overly familiar it couldn't be overly Jale loud or Gerar ing and it had to be listened to in an distracted environment and you could take from quite a number of different kinds of music we tried jazz music we tried class we tried some until your classical music we tried some kind of folky music and we also try a particular type of sound that I had developed called super white noise and if you're familiar with white noise what it is is a it's a it sounds kind of like a waterfall or a stream it sounds like shit that's what white noise is and what I done is I created a white noise that also incorporated the sound of crickets and the sound of the stream and the sound of a waterfall and combine it together and that would also have the same effect so you've really got quite a wide choice of things to listen to provided you adhere to those particular parameters of not being too familiar not being too jarring and listening to it undistracted and isn't music also in the years of the beholder Well it is I mean you know it depends on you know the kind of music that you like is going to really depend on what kind of music that you've grown up listening to people tend to enjoy music throughout their life. Mostly. Music that they listen to as they were growing up as specially in their teenage years right exactly are you familiar with the work of the late Dr Masaru emote Oh no no I'm not Ok he was not Japanese author and pseudo scientist and he would do experiments with sound and human consciousness and listen to this this is incredible Now what he would do is he would get water put it in a bowl and then play a nice what we would call easy listening music and bombard it with the water and then he would play hard rock music to another bowl and then he'd freeze the water while this music was going on Ok he'd freeze it then he'd shave a piece of the frozen ice. And look at it under a microscope and all the time the molecular structure of the water frozen water the ice that was bombarded with the easy listening music the crystals in the water under a microscope would look absolutely pristine almost like a kaleidoscope gorgeous and then he would look at the frozen chip of ice from the bowl of water that was bombarded with what we would call heavy metal music and it was discombobulated under a microscope I mean the molecular structure of the water was scattered everywhere it was it was really it was wild What is that conclude while he concluded that human consciousness has an effect on the Mall Yeah molecular structure of water interesting on a very interesting grazing Yeah I've got nothing in particular against you know personally I don't this now having metal itis known as the rapper punk music but I think what you what you've made clear before is you know the kind of music that you like to listen to is reflective of. You know the time that you were raised in and what the environment is and one kind of music that you may find pleasant someone else may find very unpleasant That's right and vice versa so you've got to you've got to use your your intuition and your common sense while and things change I mean I just had a story yesterday of how Elvis Presley resurrected Las Vegas back in 1969 now he was coming out of an era where the rat pack with Sinatra Dean Martin Sammy Davis Jr who were great at what they did but it was beginning to tire in Las Vegas you know when Elvis came back for his resurrection basically in 1969 he exploded on the scene. I mean he would fill the seared ors everything he did was sold out. In That's a change in mood of the people changing I mean the the crowd was different. You know and that's good that's kind of reflected in that study that I was talking about that I did that if you're too familiar with something that doesn't have the same tower that something comes along that's new there's a certain energy in newness and the frontal lobes likes to be challenged to process new information so you've got it you know you can be static and in those things that you listen to and enjoy or else it just grow mold Let's go to Kim truck driving in Texas welcome to the program Hi Kim good morning got on then. I cam my question my question is what would make somebody laugh when somebody gets hurt that's an interesting question are things got hurt like they fell or something it's just an automatic reaction Yeah it's not that they're laughing because it's funny but they laugh because they see something happen I think well I think this again has to do with the frontal of when someone is walking you expect their expectation is is that the walking will continue but if suddenly someone slips and falls there's an unexpected surprise and unexpected surprise is what tickles the frontal of what tickles your and make the law and I don't think anyone last as someone seriously being hurt I think what they laugh at is an unexpected resolution or an honest expectant surprise. I mean there are some reality t.v. Shows of people who you know get hit by cars and they're doing it for fun and or they you know jump off a cliff and then you know they land on their back on the rocks and the other kids that are with them are rolling they're laughing so hard now I don't find that funny no no I don't either if you watch a show like America's funny home video that's different that's different because no one really seriously gets hurt nobody gets hurt no one gets hurt and people laugh at themselves and they they supply the video themselves so there is that sort of unexpected event that happens that people find humorous but when someone laugh and someone actually getting hurt the only thing I can think of is that you're happy that it's not happening to you but I don't really find any humor and actual. Someone actually being hurt and I don't really understand it myself all right we're going to come back here in just a moment to take final phone calls with Neil Slade right here on Coast to Coast George Norry with you it is 29 minutes after the hour boy this night is flying by coast insiders the new version of the coast to coast am app is now available for i Phone and now Android 4 Datona blow listen live or undemanding anywhere anytime go to coast to coast am dot com and download it today. George Norry back with you with our final segment with Neil Slade as we talk about the brain His books include tickle you're a big deal of the frontal lobe supercharge secret of the you dormant brain lab we've got Neil Slate dot com is your website Neil but you mentioned another one want to give that out again you know there's a book called Brain tuning. There's the book of ones which is a 4 volume set and I got a couple of them I've got a new album called The Book of natural which is a album of Qatar duet brain with a few acts instruments included as well so if you go to my website you'll see there's 20 cd's I've got available when you were on with me 6 months ago we're talking about 5 g. For cell phones Oh yeah it's coming along really fast you know yeah is that the good or bad that's Ok I think people would be flabbergasted if they knew what 5 g. Was all about there's a number of issues number one. What's the g stand for this generation Ok. The existing data on the effect of e.m.f. Radiation electromagnetic frequency radiation is already pretty substantial and showing that there are detrimental effects from from regular cellphone use from electromagnetic radiation. You know the industry always downplays it but there's a fellow by the name of. From the University of Washington Dr Henry lie and what he did is he analyzed the studies on cell phone radiation between 1902006 and what he found was 50 percent of the 326 studies showed a biological effect from radio frequency radiation and 50 percent did not then what he did is he filtered the studies into 22 stacks ones funded by the wireless industry and those that were funded independently and what he found was that industry funded studies showed 30 percent likely to find an effect as opposed to 70 percent of the independent studies but even so he said even if even with that given even there's a 5050 percent split showing detrimental effects from ordinary cell phone radiation ordinary cell phone towers now what 5 g. Does it add to the mix is very substantial. The power of 5 g. Phones will be up to 20 times greater than regular 4 g. Phones. 5 g. Also has the problem that it doesn't penetrate walls it's very short it's called millimeter wave technology which means it doesn't travel the same distance that 4 g. Technology travels which translates into there's going to have to be in order for 5 g. To work you're going to have a cell phone tower every 100 meters in order for it to work that's now if you think about that that would be every few blocks you'd have a small cell phone tower each of those would be emitting far more radiation than the typical cell phone towers that we have today the. The waves don't travel through walls or windows and they're blocked by trees so everybody so it doesn't work indoors it doesn't work inside a car what you're going to have to do is every building is going to have to have its own repeater a nother generator that will antenna that will pick up the weak signals and then multiply it in indoors if they have a plan of putting $20000.00 satellites in low orbit all that which would be beaming covering the earth with microwave radiation of these it's something that everyone really needs to look into the on the industry and media hype it's really frightening when you start to get into it and if it has even a fraction of the same effects that we've seen studies show that. The vast excess of 4 g. Type of cell phone is something that everyone really needs to be concerned about and there is a great potential for health and harm from this new technology let's go to the phones now let's pick it up by going to carry on but just oh California west of the Rockies Hi Carrie good morning good to have you with us thanks 1st of all pro having a guest on like you had well thank you very much also Elvis and sound many a one time or a disgrace him best in uniform when they were going to Mel and yes they did they already had what I actually called that is there a name yet for an illness where a person is out and well like amnesia and can be able to talk normal where even a doctor at the emergency rooms cannot tell anything is wrong and even a psychiatry scandale Boy I couldn't answer that question is an illness that I know love and we need someone to steady it. Well I wish I could help you out all I can do is relate to the one time I was riding my bicycle and rode into a barrier and went head over heels over my handlebars I somehow managed to bicycle my way home but I couldn't remember who I was for at least 10 minutes so. That that's my only experience with amnesia I'm afraid. Interesting take Neal Ok let's go to some more callers we have Gina in New Orleans welcome to the show Hi Gina fellow Good morning gentlemen what a fantastic shows and I thank you very much 1st off thank you for Spratt that question about the metal music I was curious about that and I was hoping someone would ask that. I have one question for you Mr Slade and then after that I have a quick question for George Ok. First Mr nosebleeds I commend you for all of your hard work and dedication and the research you've done on this topic because I feel like it is for an enlightening thoughts Krishi 8 you and here's my question listening to decimal at 40 hurt with headphones on it said that it to activate your outflow brain we are you able to explain more about this. Could you repeat that again listening to what again. You listening to a desk mall at 40 Hertz with your headphones on excrete the hum but it activates the alpha brain. And it's that's most. I don't know it does something with your apple brain waves well 40 Hertz is a very low frequency way thing exactly it's very low frequency I don't know about 40 these in particular I do know there's been some studies about binaural b. But those are generally speaking much higher frequencies and where you have one. Frequency in one ear and another frequency in the other ear and they mix in for your head and there's sort of a pulse that happens from the interference pattern of those 2 frequencies and some people claim that this can create depending on the on the frequencies of the. It can create different. Brain wave patterns but the. Placebo double blind studies that I've seen don't bear that out and it seems to be more of a. Myth rather than a scientific fact so I can't cooperate. This effect that you're talking about in terms of 4040 Hertz I do know that that certain kinds of you know relaxing music and and the white noise generation I was talking about can have an effect on one's brain waves but terms of the 40 hurt sight I really don't have any comment on that interesting Ok Jenna you had a question for me yes George Norry When will you be coming to the U.R.L.'s for an event. That's interesting I was at an Oswald of then a couple years ago but you mean like a live stage show me. How I was or 2 years ago I don't know nothing planned yet but we'll talk with Tom about that you need to say still many people would die you've seen that we don't want them to do that but we do want them to show our lead but the l o l e l k you got that thanks a lot you know appreciate it next stop Walters with us in Allentown Pennsylvania want go ahead by George always great to be on a Walter say thank you Mr Mr Slade you're very informative. I had never heard that should there you know you describe the Bob the 5 g. The. Cellphone thank Knology that they're proposing it sounds very much like what Nicholas Kessler proposed where he would put a Tesla coil on every roof but actually it has more in common with Edison's fail plans you know that before electricity became widespread d.c. Power was versus the AC power. D.c. Power would require a generator. Every. Infrequently located Jarrett is located throughout an average you'd have generators all around the area where you want to electricity whereas testis plan was more centrally located where you'd have one central power plant that could send tower to long distances now right now it's it seems that we're going backwards as far as the technology goes for g.e. The current type of technology that you have you have one centrally located transmitter and that will transmit the the microwaves and the cell phone communication for long distances 5 G.'s just the opposite where you have. Towers on every other block and antennas on every house it's kind of just the opposite type of thing going on and I really encourage people to go online and start to look up the details people would be flabbergasted if they knew the details this is being I'm loaded on the public with very few people knowing what's going on one site that I can recommend is 5 g. . What is the name of the site. Well just to put it on your website when people go to it Yes Yes All right let's go to Harry in Brooklyn 1st time caller hi harry do as I think you again thank you sir. I'd like to mention the fact that the gentleman mentioned about nutrition is talking about eating the right foods for the brain Yes I found the it's because I had been drinking heavily for many years and the damage was pretty severe as you know I have problems thinking straight. Bob Fitrat such and. When I stopped drinking and I have quite a few years sober now and I stopped drinking. Effects to reverse but it took time and I needed help that I take supplements before so I decided to take them and you mentioned fish oils Yes e.s.a. And d.h. And I think the p a n d a. They are the 2 will make a fatty acids that are very important work probably the most important that choice and they work miracles for me yes you know in Japan they found a large doses of the it's a sin to stabilize improve certain kinds of dementia in cognitive impairment so it's pretty well established how important these fatty acids are but there are you know there are other substances Ginko bellboy is one and that's good for memory too isn't yes Elfie anything which is found naturally in t.v. Creating is one is an amino acid that your body makes use protein is very good for short term memory and reasoning ginseng is been around for ages there are some you know a tropics that are specific but I won't talk about those too much there's a there's a substance called they cope monetary which is an irate area Vedic medicine it has a brain function there's a there's a number of natural things that people can use to help recover from brain damage and to help cognitive. Functioning of the brain I was at a party several Smith many years ago actually and the television was on and there was a bad person at the party and she just had a horrible memory I mean if you would introduce yourself to or she'd forget who you were after you walked away I mean horrible memory but during the episode of the party there popped up on the television some d.v.d. Tapes for memory improvement and she saw this and just went crazy she's went this is the greatest thing in the world tapes from memory Oh my god I forgot the toll free number that. Well there are 7 there are out there again a little bit of research on the internet you'll find some conflicting information that the. And my one of my top 5 favorite songs of all time but a prince. On B.B.C. Radio. Thank. You. Thank you. Kid. Radio Oxford in for cats today and tomorrow 8 minutes past 11 now so we've kind of been talking about this in an abstract way all morning so I want to get down to this talk talk if I said to you a talk talk you would probably think somewhere Japan or Thailand you know darting in and out the traffic in busy cities now you gotta be able to spot one in Oxford Lily the talk talk is mental health charity restores new way of delivering their home grown home grown produce around the city. Just whilst Prince was playing I popped out to the B.B.C. Radio works with car park because little talk talk has come to visit Lesley to Hurst the C.E.O. Of Restore is here as well Lesley good morning good morning so describe Lili to was paint not picture oh well Lily is a very beautiful vehicle we restore It's all about growing things making things creating things to help people recover from mental illness and so Lily is covered in beautiful flowers and green images and it's just a very beautiful vehicle and if a vehicle could be beautiful when it is. And tell me the story of this how did Lili come to be restore what happened well restore as I say grows and makes things and we have various allotment sites and and groups around Oxfordshire but our one in Florence park at the oldest absolute Ment's makes a lot of things which then a bought by local businesses and pubs and restaurants and delivering those was becoming a real problem for the staff either they'd come to work on their bicycles and was struggling along with their bikes laden with produce or somebody would have to go off and get our van which is quite big and all the streets locally a quite small so $11.00 day some bright sparks of what we really need to took took and to my amazement when I went back and talked to our Finance Committee they said well this actually could be a good way of distributing our produce which gives us an income and it really does help the people who we are there to serve people recovering from mental illness really feel good when they walk into a pub like the Jolly postboys or into the mortal in arms and see stuff that they have grown sitting there with restores name next to it so it was a no brainer get Linley get our branding out there and we were very excited as well to get a donation of a 1000 pounds from a lovely lady called Tricia who wanted to give something to help restore So that went a good way towards us buying our took took Yeah well in fact we're going to hear from Treasure in a 2nd but I just I want to hear from you just for one more thing because you drove the talk talk here didn't you yeah. Well I had a maid paid when I was a young writer so it was kind of take me back to my moped days I have to say it was the 1st time I had driven and I don't normally get to do the deliveries but after a few minutes I kind of got the hang of it so for those of you on the road this morning who ever took Lily and me. Apologies if I was going and I wish that you might have wanted me to invent that it's all fine it would have been to talk with a few more words I didn't from some of the i banks say OK well listen let's hear from Trisha only I spoke to a little bit earlier on this is the lady behind the Talk Talk. Just about you know why did she why did she get involved I'm in the fortunate position I've just downsized so there's quite a difference between the money I try got from the house and what have bought I feel I need to do something a little payback restore is a local charity I was slipping into that it's you might say restore was local to me I used to pop into the cafe in fact I still do because I'm pleased for way. So that was that was my main reason because the local local charity ready that stimming some really good to ask did you specify you that you wanted them to buy it so so narrow as Ozment because I happened to know some put these on that board who I just. Accidentally ran into a few months ago and I spoke to him about the possibility of tonight tonight's interest story and he suggested that I should contact Leslie to talk to her about the amount about what the money that I was going to give might be useful because he thought it would be a good idea to have it go toward something specific so the idea of the took to look was from a store I think they had already been planning to buy and the money that I gave wasn't a huge amount but it was a significant amount towards the cost if it took took and is it wrong you asked for it to be named mini while I. Went to it and had a chat with Leslie and we talked about mental health issues and my must had suffered from depression as did have mother and his sister so I was aware of those kind of mental health. Fishies and when I came back from my chat with Leslie a very cheekily emailed saying look if you're going to perhaps paint that took took Would you consider painting a lily because that's my mother's name and then she came back to me saying all the people have decided to cool the top so clearly I thought that was so not the I was really touched with that yes yes Lois beautiful Yes And have you seen the top talk oh I have always make a vase Oh I think it's fantastic and I think it has probably got that is painted on it's certainly covered in flowers and it's a really good advertising medium I think for restore it because it chugs I think is perhaps the right word around stocks that delivering the edge and the flowers so. I think it's very noticeable I think so people will I'm sure it'll raise busy people's awareness of Restore which is absolutely great that's fantastic that was pressure the lady kind of be hauling the talk talk really you know regarding a donation. For a lovely hearing when it doesn't and Restore is all about other people's stories you know so many rich stories I've heard in my period in restore. Just full of. Emotion and joy and sadness because you know mental illness touches us all and so almost everybody I've ever met who knows restore tool will have their own story absolutely listen let's say our tongue was going to play a little bit of James Arthur and I'm ready Why not exactly and I'm going to come back and we're going to talk about a very special and I'm going on the Saturday we should do the next papacy ready walks but it's about core possible you want to do. This not as the good not sure I. Do now. As he couldn't. Have you. To. Attack. James Arthur and Marie rerolling the stars just minutes 20 minutes past 11 its peak Morgan M 4 cats on B.B.C. Radio Oxford cat is back on Wednesdays I'm here today and tomorrow chatting to Lesley Juers the C.E.O. Of the mental health charity restore who's joined us in the studio Lesley good morning good morning now you've joined us in the studio we were you know we've been out in the car park already because you came here on a talk talk. That just explain what the talk talk is going to be doing how's it going how does it help the charity Well the took took is delivering daily our produce that we grow in one particular allotment site that we manage it disturbs allotments on Reimer's lane and we produce huge amounts of vegetables and flowers and preserves and things at bats allotments and everything is grown and made by our members which is a name we give to our service eases so Restore is all about helping people recover from mental ill health and we found find that the best way to do that is is to have a kind of work environment where people have some structure where they can do things creatively but also see the results of their labors and then see that going on and benefiting all of us by selling it at the end of it say that it's a really Lily that took took is coming into her own helping us achieve that end point the selling and the delivery and making it real for the members who we help recover from mental illness because driving when you do you drove it here this morning to us here at B.B.C. Radio Oxford and you know you were you were apologizing for being very slow you know and probably causing frustration in other drivers you must have also put it look so. Many Coles and I didn't I was really hoping nobody would because. It would have distracted me but I have I do know that the people who've been delivering with Lily over the last few weeks say that they have some amazing things there was a taxi that followed one of our staff as she drove up the road because he was so excited seeing I took to him with saying do you hire it out for weddings you hire out what he saw me thinking maybe that could be another sideline Yes we're not too sure how that worked with our insurance but anyway it was just a just a thought so people do like it I think it genuinely brings a smile to people's faces which is good anything that does that you know in today's society cannot be about thing if people want to see literally they can because it's the oldest herbs Festival this weekend is and that's Right on Saturday it's our annual festival which we put on restore puts on in conjunction with the older style Stubbs allotment charity and that is at the allotments on Reimer's lane so opposite Florence park it's the 29th year I believe of this festival where which is amazing and it starts at 12 go through till 5 and there's so much going on there not only would you be able to see Lily but the story museum have their pump content there there will be a climbing wall swinging boat. Lots and lots of different stalls selling things food 3 music areas see electric stage acoustic stage in the reggae stage lots of delicious things to eat and and the beautiful allotment sites to be in which is you know just by water in lead peaceful I was there this morning and the just the plants are great and the theme this year we always have a theme is Mellow Yellow. So if you see somebody looks scarily like Marge Simpson That'll be me. Yes I think it can wait to see the photos. Well. I personally think it's a good thing because obviously 20000000 years ago. Health would've wasn't talked about it wasn't wasn't invented nowhere we talked it wasn't you know it certainly wasn't as much a focus as it is today so you must have noticed that in your time with a restore in the number of people coming along to events like the 1st definitely and actually restore itself has been going for over 40 years for many years this year and and so we've we've always been embedded in that world of people who've had a period of significant mental health issues who really need to get their confidence back get their self-esteem back really get to grips with who it is that they are themselves and what they want to be and to kind of leave all that stuff behind them. So I think the big change over the last few years of course has been the way that people talk about mental health nowadays which is much much much better you know much more positive that people acknowledge the difficulties they might have had themselves or their family members have and they do I think look out for help more than they used to but there's still quite a long way to go people still bottle things up and employers can still be pretty bad at looking after their their staff so we do a lot of things to encourage employees particularly through something called Mental Health 1st Aid training and other training that can help employees work out how they can save themselves money really by being better employees and looking after the mental health of their staff well listen Leslie it's lovely to see your lovely to brew for you to bring in Lilly and thanks very much for that a pleasure and hopefully it all go well this weekend you better come along everybody 12 o'clock at the elder Stubbs allotments on Reimer's lane and it's incredibly cheap to get in and there's loads to do when you get there fantastic Well you know even I am going to you know look at going along now because Leslie Stahl meter and when Leslie tells you you just do it oh thanks very much less thank you 25 minutes past 11. C.B.C. Brady a walk set your extolling say the travel stories can't say with the latest on. A Rhodes car is to look at me a bit heavy and boom if it isn't due to the roadworks Yeah delays there around by the buffet roundabout just left a bit of heavy traffic and of course busy as it was earlier but still a delay showing up and then on the eastbound side of the A 40 cussing turned to the wall roundabouts like parts of the eastern bypass especially between the heading to the roundabout and the Cali junction still slow only $34.00 going towards the I'm 40 ish approach west no McGrane slow there and then heavy going on to the M 40 around by by now it's green the southbound side of the A 43 there getting home to the M 40 looks like a time saver travel from B.B.C. Radio Oxford I'm Gary Scott. 109 Look. Let. Live. Live live. Live. Live. Live. Live. Live live. Oh. Live live. Live. Live. Live. Live. But skanks and Lido shuffle B.B.C. Radio Oxford Pete Morgan here with me through. Warm good music from Wham an Aerosmith on the way and looking at some of the new music you can hear on B.B.C. Radio Oxford over the next few days and talking strictly as well with Captain Jones now though selling 30 time has come once more to take a breath of fresh air just step back and reflect on your mental health well being that was lovely just having Lesley in from the mental health charity was store just a few moments ago every Monday we take a moment to hear from someone with what they're doing to maintain a healthy head today it's the turn of Oxford student Izzy Creed who tells us what she did to keep up above it all when recovering from anorexia. As you create I suffer from here from 2012 to 20. And my mental health my mind I think. To history books. And the sort of took my mind of. The focus that most almost every day and it is important because it's under for months thinking on something else then it's difficult to focus on the illness itself. Radio Oxford Morgan here with you through until one Lily Mitchell along at war on talk about the Perseids one of the most spectacular meteor showers of the Year tonight is the peak so lil is going to get into that speaking to Dr Elizabeth Pearson from the sky at night magazine now that we. Very excited we have all 15 contestants confirmed for this year's Strictly Come Dancing see usual mix soap stars football star social media stars they're all competing to lift the glitterball trophy My approach is always the same at this point in the competition . I don't care about any of them but 2 weeks in I would walk over hot coals for whoever my particular favorite is and I guarantee you within the 1st month of watching it I will say this phrase to my wife if they don't get a good score for this dance we're never watching this program again that that's how strongly I get invested with it now someone who knows only too well what it feels like former Strictly contestant getting Jones came 3rd in 2007 partnered with Camilla down a rope I believe it was gettin. Presented programs all over the world and across our T.V.'s now fighting the plastic free fight for the drinking water purification company Britta joins us now getting good after no good morning still good morning. Somewhere Isn't it was I love that is so right about strictly in habits of people and I love how they blame sometimes their wives as well as like my dad to say don't watch it but yet if you speak to we can quote every single song and score for every week how do you know that then Dad if you don't really watch it you know it just takes over a life doesn't it from well it turns it on Christmas yeah we we've canceled social occasions even though you can record and just want to the next morning though you know that's the thing about still appointment of you isn't it you know it lives sport sat in our you sit down you watch it because you don't want someone to tell specially with social media you don't want to find out by by anyone else you just want to find out by watching it absolutely so when it comes to this time of the year does that tend to kind of bring back the memories for you. Yeah it's brilliant now though because I wanted to still be a part of the show in a small corner. Well yeah and doing it takes 2 with an issue so it's great and I love this part where they don't probably know yet who their partners are and they've been trying to keep it a secret for so long then they'll find out their partners are and then it will just be like an education of dance for 3 weeks where your body goes to places you never thought it was going to go and then the next thing you know your front alive what 15000000 people do in a charter charge trying to impress a girl with a Cuban heels and a shirt that goes by your crotch and property and I saw really weird and awkward but then you think wow I love this and you fall in love with dance and you will try and win it because that's the thing you know it's hearing some of the most seasoned . Kind of T.V. Presenters or actors or musicians saying that moment when they're generally we're watching the footage of your training week that moment when your kind of taking your 1st position is some of the most nerve racking moments ever Yeah it's great isn't it like all these people have achieved so much and you put them outside the company so and actually isn't that one of the great things about Strictly and why we love watching it is we think like you mentioned before you think you know who's going to be good and who's going to be bad and then someone surprises you and it's just the magic isn't it that goes around in this in top quality Dancing with the pros I think that wonderful what they do and what they bring to the show and then you know you've got these sort of characters develop in their fast it's the it's the J. Word it's the journey that's you know we love the j within we pay some tell you because that's all I'm saying really because I'm a member and I want to get your thoughts and I've picked. It's not necessarily who I want to be but I don't think well when I think death is going to win it I think Griffin is going to win this because I think because he has done some dumb thing but he's not any in any way like a pro dancer and he's got a desire to dance and I think this expansion is a journey for him to go on and yeah I like convince me I'm right you know I see your point I have always loved Anika Rice Yeah I would love to see her do well so hopefully she'll surprise a few people along the way too yeah because you've got you've got to where you've got to the final show you came 3rd now thanks Pete Now that's a little bit still a little bit better about it. Like a month still not quite over it still phone helpline but you know I had a great run so you know what can you do and I left there and I was rubbish at dancing so I was amazed that I got that far it's all down to Camilla she was I'm a. Because that's the thing we the other thing we do is say they're probably a really good teacher they're not you know a great teacher or was she was she was she a strict teacher you know she's a brilliant teacher Schatz what with me. Nothing like put you know my fingers into cook or arches and practice in by a table at work and I would look at me funny when I think I'm dealing with things the office furniture you know that's what she had to face and we got through it so well done Camilla well done and I salute all her that's what we like. That's about exactly right in a tenuous link Strictly is obviously serious exercise you probably have to keep yourself hydrated and run. In single use plastic or reusable but I tell you what they want to serious know yet it today we're launching the break campaign to stop single use plastic and the main thing is using it in in homes because all over half of us still buy plastic water bottles for the home which is just in saying because people think these health benefits to plastic bottled water and you know this like bad stuff in the tap it's complete rubbish you know if you've got filter tap water you're fine and actually quite a few people change including strictly like the last couple years now there's no plastic bottles on set it's all reusable but as I said the rugby over the weekend and I want to mention the score there but yes sorry about that yes thank you if you take I said I want to if you take the beer your beer glasses back or plastic glasses but you get sort of a pound back as well so it's like an incentive to do it and they did the Gulf as well so people are making changes and we actually thing like I'm quite passionate about this piece I have but yes well because it upsets me that there's so much waste in plastic bottles especially on you know some of the most beautiful parts of the world that I've seen and been blessed to have experience so yeah I'm really enjoying it and there's more to come as well we're going to go out when trying to prove people and help people reduce that single use plastic. For those the don't know just give us a kind of illustration is to as to why we should use the reusable one is the kind of you know almost like a soundbite see facts or something of like Right that's why I should use all. You know like a 7475 percent of us in the U.K. Still buying plastic bottled water and for many reasons like I mentioned before people actually believe their health benefits they think that war is bad. It's maybe a little bit laziness is a lack of education I don't know but a part of this if you go on the Britta website you can actually nominate your street and are going to come along with it and we're going to try to help change that slightly and we'll do some taste tests and stuff like that because you think tap water is not as nice as it's bottled water so there's a lot of different people blame different you know is it the government is it manufacturers but the bottom line is if you me just say right you know I'm going to go buy a reusable plastic ball I'm going to keep using it that is going to be better on a small scale that makes a change worldwide I think sometimes a kind of go doesn't matter if I change it because nothing will change on a bigger scale but actually it really will and so that's why the piece is so again involved with it well I'm positive message I can tell you now. Responsible plastic that's I've got my reviews about the Ritalin so I. Feel to go through a little Cheers that'll get nice that you know let's. Go listen again I really appreciate you. I really appreciate you coming on my Listen it's been it's been cracking in there and good luck with the campaign and obviously will be senor it takes 2 as well with there was a we in Ryan thanks for having us and thank you for supporting people of NO problem take a GET think. Fields. Is B.B.C. Radio Sheffield. B.B.C. Radio Shack. Is where we feel most at home about some wonderful stuff the 1st I got from Patricia 1st when I read today was from Patricia talk about feeling at home on stage which is a fascinating that she feels most at home in a sense pretending not to be yourself in a pretend hole or performing for people but the Sarah answer and thank you to it Sergio joined us to talk about whether he felt more at home in Sheffield where he's live for nearly 40 years or in Chile where he was born and brought up camp Sheffer we looked after him he thinks Sheffield is his home and it certainly sounds like it is he said of made a very interesting film about him we talked to Harry the priest who is left Sheffield to God sent albums My guess is that he'll be back home again at some point we're not quite managed to Madame mango was on a train her story of a home is particularly unexpected home is a dance floor for Linda Homer jointers or several other people said they feel most at home when they're at home I'm asking you to tell me when you feel most at oh your God says one listener anywhere with my fella said Katie and in bed with an audiobook on the radio. And there we go many more of them to come where do you feel most at home where sharing them on B.B.C. Radio Sheffield today and in a moment an extraordinary story on the day in which we've been hearing about well well but well a bridge in the floods and the possibilities of horrible things happening there we're going to go back a little bit in time to talk to a woman who would tell us where she felt most at home following those floods. This is James Banks. Oh but no river. Very appropriate really. Trying to keep. Between. CHILD 2 square. Be. Sure to. Back them. Back. And stuff. Back the bag. Back to the sky as. You call. It attached. To the back . To. Wall. To Wall long. Last fall and I. Know us well. Paul. Oh but the river under drain which the people of where the bridge waiting to see had his astrally my beef dam blows on the news today and it will be I think for a few days we are talking about homes they may lose their homes we're talking about a home on the program today and kicked off the show hearing about how he's still a vicar who's off to go and live in central been some he. Told the story of a man whose home was left behind because of what happened when the generals came into Chile and I went back 40 years later some great stories on the program today on the line now I'm joined by Alison wearing Alison good afternoon to you good afternoon is it true each Isn't it the you had to move but you didn't really want to. You know the folks well to say we went yes then you wait and then they are. To kind of settle for this. That while they was in the house down stead every now and again but because I couldn't sleep I used to come back home and sleep in the bed. It was because of the floor joists of 2007. What to do with those floods. We've been flooded a few weeks back I didn't come in the house. And you know it wasn't about the dogs loved it. But then slowly risen though he was a few weeks late to the ball to slowly visit nomos Watson and. Just we were just all devastated Did someone come around and say you've got to get out. We also met on toll bridge to get the buses to set and. It took a few days you know people to realize they had to get sent. You know with the kind of arms. And what was he like when he was staying at the center then. It was mobbed it really was it was mobbed you know he kept hoping for a little bit to new and then you'd get some gossip which was in the news that was going Elam and you know a few arguments happened even though we're all from the same village you know and we all knew each other just. And most most of the time we got on to them and they've got the wrong. About that and then you leftists wanted to move into a caravan. It was only only a temporary site until they got the full site. Because it was the site with the families feel that. You know the date. Was in the little. Park areas within the day when they got the kind of emphasis that up and then they moved over to the pharmacy. And what was he like in that caravan was he kind of Pleasanton. Yes after a year of being in the cab of a yeah yeah I swore I would not go on the kind of on all of the again. Saying that a few years later I was offered a free holiday you know. How low. It was because of and I know. That you had frost on the copper genial kind of I know you had. Even. Tried to cope with the vents or up. You know to stop the cold calm and then you know what came so. We gave it you know because of the condensation from our breath. That landed on the camp in the cold that come up. And he said How is your your kids who are in the caravan with us yet when we kill you all these you know they're going about still got me so that maybe it's my cabin now right. You sounding good fold the shaft and I have to say I have good days I'm. Now well established good to talk to you I'm remembering that you went back home after a while about 8 months and then she had to go back in the caravan again no no no I think you got that how much of an ocean and what about these days when you know by combat experience of moving into a caravan and going back home again what do you feel about going home well you know it was wonderful actually you know get back to me property and. You know literally sit down oh me so in the telly rather than you know craving the next round. You know a way to relax could you could never relax in that kind of so you've got what do you feel the SAYS Are you watching the stuff that's happening when the bridge on the turn I have goes out. And I understand why the people who don't want to come out. Because I didn't really want. You know I don't know where the coming from this and thank you very much for joining us our listeners again on B.B.C. Radio Shefali somewhere who was involved in the towbar floods of 2007 sing about to go does it but it was on a day in which other people are waiting maybe for something similar she was moved out of it for a year and then she went back home and the good thing was she could move around safely and what you put the tallies B.B.C. Radio Sheffield my question to you where do you feel most at home. He's a starship and if you want to get in touch with me the usual. Or you can text old. You can send a tweet behind. You Ships with nothing's going to stop for. The better not try. Asking when you feel most of the. 50 says I feel most at home sitting at a diverted effort in the small fishing village I live on to. Get a better man looking a mile away across the still waters towards the mountains of the great. Field lives so swift to his that interesting if years at home thousands of miles away it looks that way round for him I wonder about ridin to my producer he's sitting in his little box dreaming of things that might be where he feel at home rough. For a long time I would say that chef you definitely didn't feel at home didn't know I hated it I came here is the units you didn't. Remember driving on the motorway coming down the park Y. And thinking this is one relief the next 3 years and I absolutely dreading it because. I've never left home before that yeah and I'll just use a living in a market town where nothing much really happened I mean the Sheffield I was living nothing. I was living on Abbey Road in the late ninety's and the 1st time I'd ever signed a contract for a house to pay rent and the all seemed really scary I remember the landlord had this like some kind of sports car with a leopard skin trim. I had had like Stringfellow and I thought I've just signed my life away feel like I'm a pain yeah. But or now you've thrown in the House of people you don't know. And it just felt the scariest thing so as much as Sheffield has become and it's become a home a mind to where you saw upon your own flag from the place that you thought by. Now it feels like mine like over time an issue feeling like how very scary I felt like going to $980.00 S. New York which you think do you think Jeff it always you know lovely and friendly felt like a fall into I don't know I was going to live a life of value. And how disappointed was ah yeah what about you oh well Jeff it's my home and I came back when when I'd grown when I was half my life are there now and I came back to find it was still the place I knew you know my niece is going to school for the same schools I went to I can see the brick house I was born in the room I was born in from the wind maybe conceived in from the window of the house to live in that I can look over green where Dave used to write for blue truly back home again and I'm never going to be anywhere else I have to say but you lived quite a metropolitan Oh yeah in life in London so I got around a bit so did. It was a point where you could see Billy move somewhere else like could you go yeah could have gone abroad could you gone to Scotland could you gone to the way yeah anywhere or come home I was living as a kind of Russia place wanted all over the shop much as I did get all kinds of places including a few abroad and things but it was having kids that were of a girl my how I wanted him to grow up here if someone said to you you've got to move now. And move to number 9 next door so he couldn't move from no no. I mean. Well. Because of a broken down vehicle. With delays of around 40 minutes. Because of the. Way. To stop because of the incident at the. Ticket. Country and. The government says it's considering holding a national review the structural safety of. The. Bridge. Feste said the option of review was something to be considered but their focus is currently concentrated on the DA. Giving more details of $850000000.00 pounds to be spent on building projects at 20 N.H.S. Hospitals in England the prime minister visited the Pilgrim Hospital in Boston which is set to receive 21300000 for improvements to its. Administrators have arrived at the Harland and Wolff ship. Which is facing the yacht which built the Titanic once employed sirens of people and a new cycle circuit for professionals and. It's next to the day will be used for parts of the U.C.I. To have a bit of a laugh I did work hard when you want to have to but having a laugh was also a Saturday at the rocks or whatever overnight or doing things down the limit or wherever it was that you spent misspent your teenage years well I used to when I was at school and officially shouldn't have been going to skate a place 10 ups and you know never actually it was 10 and then when I left school I was a college campus sat the crazy days in and then I'm in love like you were. I was in what used to do there I started advertising and design sets graphic design course here and you became one of those I did yes I worked for many years as a graphic designer in Sheffield you went to London for a bit what was Lord of the line I loved to write always enjoyed London and the time I went by the time I'd gone I had to move freely from graphic design into the modern marketing side through my job but Tinsley wire in Sheffield and I just want to squash ambitious and I felt Sheffield was a bit depressing during the mid eighties I want to soar spread my wings on this thread and what you can buy came back a year because circumstances changed I really enjoyed my time in London but you know Gambari 2 suspects in a baby and we could have a better quality of life I felt as a family in Sheffield and that was right was a chef who was a back on the opposite of what yes yes there was here it was them the house prices were going to be crazy here by then year and overfill nothing is exactly the time I can buy Trish would you tell me please why you went to Graceland. So I had a big birthday last year my 60th birthday and I was quite surprised when my Some sat me my birthday is in April and in October before that my son said oh I'd like to chat with you about your birthday that was very odd because he would normally be on Amazon 2 days before. Or. The day that you know you already got last year yeah so yeah this was very odd and he said I thought to be nice if we went away together somewhere and I thought it was fantastic hearing a bit of time with him you know beloved like he said so I thought I'd tell you to Graceland in Memphis Well my jaw dropped and I had a big lump in my throat do you want to. go we settle oh yes show you went for we went or to like oh it was fantastic won't ferry exciting you know been a fun all those years and a place that i actually was amazed at how that who how it affected my was actually not cry sandwich did but it was the some studios wario or began sony a very little modish place place fall of atmosphere it or and we would taken through their we all it's fantastic colorful history american music and then about elvis and stood in the place where he stirred with the jordan is in there you said a brother just and their response it you're your the wrong age fro i am yet wasn't kolisch school when i was a 2nd reason ago i got the mic taken out of me fortunately or had one of the friend Who was also a big Elvis fan so not all the current music and everything was in Slade and T. Rex but this weird man with these old religious views and he was the way it. Was pinching music from America making white man's music and the soul a load of rubbish you. Know what I mean is Europe and so you thought he was wonderful well who brought black music into the mainstream and that's a thing you know black music has always been fabulous and he loved to himself and started singing it and people were very you know couldn't understand it wasn't right it being a white man but he just sang the music he loved and he was very good it is to listen to him Now listen to Mr Horner know this morning well you tell me about the reverend would your son. Surprise you by buying a present of acres and he is. You don't a like a vicar's more the time I don't fix mothers who like. Well he. I was always interested in exploring Christianity but never really got round to it I only went to church Christmas and sometimes Easter that sort of thing . But I went on a course at forward church Christian tech support and it's a course to people who are curious not a lot question Alpha course one of those like you know Course it's called Christians support is very much like of course and so. The end of it you can either do the course again you can stop them church or you don't have to come back and I'd missed a few and I decided I would do it again and I asked my son and the reason I asked him was because at school it was that he was at Birkdale they did an Alpha course during lunch time and he done that and he was interested and curious so we both did it together and after that I did commit to being a Christian he didn't he. Sot off he would be on the short of it but he just gave us a teenager and he was normal teenagers who would church every Sunday morning. But he then went to your university to do history and it was once he was there that actually his face grew he. Found a church there. That's where is faith group where you pleased or displeased I attribute this could only worsen is time in a. Situation makes very could have done things with his life was straighter than very imposing and he is very important yes he could have done he was always interested in politics and it was always his aim to go into politics. But you know he was led down a different path and he resisted it for a time whilst there was this voice say you know do this do this and he tried to resist it and he did work a bit in London after he graduated from York politics but then he decided to go for he went up to the northeast to very deprived area on a placement to see is this really for me and it was very hard. Very depressing but it made him decide that's what you do you want to kind of express not color that when you went to South America yeah I mean really I think that's where it started from a deciding to actually take a bit deeper. Do something about my questions it was that's true where I met my father Paul Jesuit priest and he really made a massive impression on me where would you like to be if you weren't on Radio Sheffield a moment. Runswick by what you want been rooms read by you could be inscribed what you want to rush back. Special place we've always been there been going there since before my children were born because my. Husband's cousin had a hotel. And. Even after they split up I continued to go and my children being from babies and it's just got a special place in our heart I think because we had friend there and her hotel was really the center of. A We sort of almost fell I locals when we were there I would ask people where they feel at home so that we can have that one as well on the list as well as the ones we've talked about your therapist amass Are you sure reflects always you sure I'm a therapist and you describe yourself as being resilient have you needed to be resilient in your laughter Yeah yeah. When my husband and I split up you know I was bringing up the children on my own and that was very challenging. I was working for myself as well so that was more challenging because I didn't have the support of the company I was running an advertising agency at the time a small design and marketing and 2 children Yeah so it was very challenging and then when the recession hit. You know I decided to fold up the business and go and work in an agency part time and then that was affected and I was made redundant so I had to keep reinventing myself starting again trying to be a good mother and give them all the opportunities in life that I want to but it was tough it was very tough and you got well more dreamy self which is like you're allowed to go to Oxford. Yes Antrim about well I've always loved history of art and I 1st came across it at grumble college actually And the funny thing is it was that lesson everyone else seemed to be bored to death I was always just a slide show that. They don't fall asleep and I found it fascinating and ever since then I've loved it but I've never studied it and I came across the course which after watching a lot of programs by Dr Janina Ramirez. And her problems is so interesting and she's actually the coast director. At the University of Oxford on this history of our diploma it's not a decree but you do study 2 years but it would mean going down every Wednesday for 2 hours before. I just want to speak about this guy that was on a bit earlier young failed I mean the global prank failed yes yes and I'm going to go you know what I think about it all is I mean Frank fair isn't a fabulous job over the last 3040 years representing Ned and whatever and working class people and the way the latter path is gone in the last couple of years but it's gone from middle of the road to Saudi extremist and. You can understand where he's coming from and cross the fact that he didn't get the support when. I was going with him and I'm looking chemises and wish him all the best in the future but . It will be generally common in the way he's going and. Muskets say he got within . Sholay revolutionary and he gets to lead Apache I mean really and. Really television they want to nationalize the railways. Just to get an idea right yes they want everything that's gone that's most of the things in this country the moments have been sold off. The ledge this is a. Think about the flurry and what sound is there on the agenda is. To check it all back. To take it all back it's going to cost hundreds of billions of pounds to come flooding the concert can't afford to be thinking well wait a minute because you feel for the little things of the mobile according to our new prime minister but nevertheless recall in the money I think well very May we have to throw away if you would not standing just the front just came up to take you back into control. Over the railways yep yep. They made great compensation. Well I don't. Yeah I don't remember. I agree it will cost money the other one who they want to kill Jews will probably go for money yet another thing about it all is reaching to go down to sit down with the diocese and all these other 3 probably wouldn't sit down with the American president when actually the make him president sit down with him he wants to speak the American presence and you know if you think he's such a fat down with the IRA you know big deal people you have to sit down with people you don't like in order to get on with trying to solve problems Yeah but the thing is really amazing in my mind the man looking in terms of when you when you look at the young kids 1617 year olds where he wanted to vote the minimum hourly rate for 50 pounds an hour just to get the young bosses in next election movie Liza believes young people deserve to be paid the ransom or the money well in my mind there's thousands upon thousands of workers being paid below the minimum wage in this country yet Nollywood need to pay is the lever path again of its backside in the sense based on the faithful and in the people it's been on the pitch to given the details and to get on and force the government to do something about it or them are forcing but I do take your point I think whichever government in power the minimum wage is not being enforced and in fact right along Health and Safety has not been enforced you know exactly right and they've cut back and cut back on the people who do those checks that is images like the death until the health and safety and even they go to look at St ceilings it's got the highest rates of suicide for males in the country I didn't know Russell was horrible for 2 stick and I mean that's if you go if you drive around saying selling it's 40 agents I've been. Driving around since everything is gone all the facts is a gun is no work. Still nothing the government's done nothing for anyone about sending a minister up to sentence of a look at. The problem is that you can invent Jones and you go people are people decide to move or where you go people are missing friends you decide we don't need oh you end up you know we've places moving here all the distribution center. From town it's very very low on the list of all of. Which shocking what's going on and in my mind I've been 11 men only like a walking challenge and then being reelected and I don't think they've got a chance in hell because of. Where are they going to fill if you lived in Birkenhead would you be rooting for labor from she'll be voting for Frank failed. Is Frank say whether it's labor long of a Down there they were Frank Field for the last 40 years on a fabulous job for the people and the people will busy support that they will not get any number not a next election will still be very easy to see that will happen you're right I think they'll all go again because reason is a managed on everything the vast. I'm going to graduate from. People. Within to go along with what we've always done I'm alive I'm out already I'm a whatever. Reason move off was fixed positions and this can be viewed. As the if they do so I mean Labor if we get the moment the way they're for the moment I would argue he's going good chance whether it's the election this group of 2022 I don't know with. Jones Well I honestly believe a lot of the election in the next 6 months because he's. Lost the numbers one more say I was gone and they forced into a position and called in unless they get unless it is sure to carbon levels not a chance of winning the election see what happens this could be very very interesting I agree and I don't think recall I tell about not yet and you know I mean it like that but that's where you know with this Joseph M. Batch of junk. I listen plus column A So good points. What I was calling and. I agree with MARK COLVIN In a way and I always come out when that austerity and. The conservative call that knowledge that 02000 or 20000 mile police offices Yeah it will help money for the because she claims. To. Know we've got money for that and we've got. A touch tax cuts for the rich we've got. If nothing for anybody else. That if you finish nobody mentions it. About 2 years ago Mrs Thatcher. Mrs May said austerity is ending nobody noticed. That I said and it wasn't you know I was. Playing how wealthy you are I don't think for Boris austerity ever happened. You know no it's never never will I. Said It is only for people in. The social scale. At all the brunt of it and I mean he. Says when he pointed out he just said you just going to raise the rates you moon I'm going to raise I'm going to help the poor as well I'm increase the starting point for mentioning children to England. You can make as many promises as you like you can indeed. Pen on paper it's a novel and it's just blossomed I'm a friend who give us we'll have to wait and see but I'm crossing my fingers at least 20000 police officers will happen because we desperately need to get them in place earlier only 10000 protecting from the public when everything goes. Well I think the game each player is playing the blame game. If he knows we're not going to have a. Lot. Often So when we get to the cliff edge. All right I'm going to call a general election you solve this. Problem and solve it's everybody's fault of mine as I've said really so we'll have a general election and I'll make your own mind of. If it's conceivable that will happen I agree but I think nobody really I don't think he knows what is going to happen it's all very well to say look I am going to be a millionaire makes week I have decided I'm very positive I'm going to be a Millionaire Next week I might not be a Millionaire Next week however possibly I've decided it might not be eventually Scotland only nationalists elected but you know I think that we count really need to look about this I think the same as in Northern Ireland it never started it. Didn't because he got a 1000000 he found a republic he didn't sleep on a rug. Eventually just on one state and stole my job and that and clean it off on the next day up to meet a few of them and none of them trust and. He do seem doesn't seem hope I'm wrong again he doesn't seem to have a plan I'm. Positive that what's the plan and he still hasn't said what the plan is. To be they've got to change Europe's got to change the backstop state what was his plan then you gave it of a monolith of Angelis and numbers a plan but no plan excess and take what you call it. When he just called it general election I just sang labor should be doing something we should be streets added right now and. Did you see the breakthrough still I mean the numbers are handful who just about save the deposit and the only just they were beaten by Breck's it. You know breaks if the party been around for 3 months from now and they over 100 years. Really confirms in my opinion that. Busy if it's a conservative conservative vote there's one of. The next best thing that they'll do is vote. And I'm not at all on voter thinking. The conservative. Ranks to pick come from 2 or even in Britain. Even the. Labor down there. But the Labor Party want to stop fussing about to get all this well and the daylight comes to just say look we've got enough. Members are saying to us. By and that's what we're going to campaign for that's come out in the open stop playing games with the public between the public she would like to. Just say over and I. Get ridiculed on. This in this place because that's the same base I held up as Saunders. He can fight on the he can but I rather like Elizabeth I want some of these you know as before I'm the woman he's a bit. Firm disease crime Brazil the other. I mean there's a too too intelligent ones. I'm not one I mean there's one of those people I'm not holding should mention about something he says. Well I wrote it down. I mean I can't live for the life of me I could never see Jenny Cullen saying I mean . This day will be losing Romel kind of in that you know we call been has always been a fool in the flash of the Labor Party and he's always you know he's had some really good policies he did a good way with money stuck to what he believes in he's never been a leader in my view I may be completely wrong but he's never been a leader he. The kind of person who nudges the leader into trying to do things you know to me like Frank Field not Frank Fielding's you and me we owe it to the public in this country of this age have also used car salesman and we have. Just stated that same. Symbol it was just that it was told me. So I'm the one and we got you the wrong to take you know he was no you can't call go. Elsewhere you know we're not even on the same get well it's busy easier to take because he didn't come across. Like him that people here. Really talk sense. But he didn't come across that way and we got Cameron another used car salesman. And then we got. To want to be. What she was now and now we've got a little bit. What he wants so you can use in the high end of the market well it's really just like up just to get out of jail of. Thank you for that analysis really just really well thank you I did I just told the truth but it was not the cover to make a difference analogy or argue with that one of course you can only come to some free woman free double free. And it's Frankie now we travel back each Sunday. With fresh record but what's your favorite tune so please spread the word if you fancy the right it's 95.8 We are your side. You are on the. B.B.C. Radio. This is an expression of being at Williams Not gallery museum lovely home country music place you were back and had. It's cool 9 and it's it's opening tomorrow to the 15th of September. And he said Wednesday to Saturday by the way resume 10 o'clock to 5 o'clock well worth a visit is a little society abouts and say that 9th up an exhibition and the other thing is Mike got on the sun rockers are going to do all of the old I mean really tour and someday I so long rock with them those are the 2 the raffle will more information the number to ring shall be with the anything now offers and how would that often oh hi. I can't help of unproven today over Frank Field but it mildly. Has always defections took place and I've been right concur about it doesn't improve getting better it's responsive back I wrote for fun for twice and said Why just Nikolay. About election. And 2nd time around but he said he has a supporters conceptualized and therefore is carrying on but he has no model of the subject you want rather to be that it was elected as a Labor representative not as an independent No M.P. Should be allowed to switch parties join the cause of election but they are its value no more. Oh no it says what is wrong. Frank is associated with the king had enormously You know as we look like he's been a couple of years he's been working for a living a long time yet results are being associated level with the Labor party for judges you know have a direction to back to the Labor Party with something that really hold much more sway he said he bridge the way for the just right we just had a 22000 pounds rise because I'm 180000 is also on a lean against whatever that piece let me yeah yeah yeah but I say 80000 are you also on a committee which only gives them another 15000 or so is almost 100000 pounds a year 2000 pounds and by the way by the way 2 years ago he recommended that the trouble was unsustainable for pensioners before sleep wasn't it wasn't carried through so that left. From feeling some sort of angle but. I think you don't want to hear I think it goes right through the Labor Party that I've read some I am . Variable search time to get on SR questions. And I read your letter that I just written to it on Terra Long Tom Watson held a meeting live this week with approximately 80 laws on elected and 60 M.P.'s from 2 projects so much of Democratic and democratic socialist traditions are for front a little much moment whatever that are but its means we have love can if you expelled a party within a party when he was leader is now prepared to support a party within the Labor Party would like you to answer these questions did you attend not reaching yes or no have you any and tension of defecting now or in the future number of M.P.'s to benefit from the labor movement over the years especially financially or just up the party in the back Genom it's all been was democratically elected leader and for all you should get behind him Do you support J P On the percent. It's rubbish that Labor is out to destroy it what's your personal stance remember you start in a minute but still too want to leave and I can't get an answer to a question and I actually believe that every constituency should really look at their employees and decide whether or not they have a chance defecting because I believe a lot of them as the original action will be elected on a labor ticket and then we'll use that picture of radius of 5 years to shrink from another party I think we have a lot of what I would call what about yours about only only on the radio you will defect to all the parties and leave Labor in a kettlebell my lady's in a terrible mire Anyhow it's now Lou We will be leaving it all now it was a gentleman because people don't within the party parliamentary party don't language is mystical but he's putting forward. No doc is it's. Unfortunate that a socialist party elected a socialist leader and this is what they don't like to like do what they want is a corner status quo represented by 92 percent of M.P.'s from improve the political system and only 8 percent for working class socially policy you haven't got anybody elected Sorry the only socialist policies and the premier light was at least I can think of any other time when socialist policies didn't destroy the party that turned it into power but I just don't understand people because if they vote independently for Frank Field that's one Labor M.P. Last. And I know that May and Labour's conference with all the people who defected except for it and the continuous demonization of the party continuously by the media especially the Daily Mail Labor's got no chance of winning and people say they support Frank Field But you must remember if supporting Frank Field. That's the stuff that is a nail in Labor's conference and labor is the only party that represents the N.H.S. So all these people are talking about our support of Frank feel your 3 member of the Saudis get back in Bill destroy what's left of the N.A.R. The welfare state on a national health service so he should not be loyal to one man he should be loyal to the party on the principles he stands for when people come on your show by the way and talk about Jeremy children's use again it was called into and really insulting to never talk policies. I really would appreciate Roger if you could ask them what their policies brought policy today objects to. Sometimes about whether or not they didn't do object to nationalization of the railways or taking back control of the of the utilities we should major planks mystical beings poses a little before the better really get a response I meant I think it was last week you asked a 2nd person that sort of question and I think it's just good that it doesn't and you just could not think anything to say. But the job of the policy just happened no I did it just and the labor for whatever reason people don't look at the policies. The problem is as I say they split within the parliamentary party the M.P.'s are basically some very I would argue good M.P.'s on the benches they'd be better than some of the M.P.'s on the front bench is although it's been good to bring on some young people as well I can think of room from benches to but in the end you go how do you know if you poncy I don't foresee for whatever reason he can't unite the party. Well it sounds you know the party pictures is a socialist all the rest of the stars I am a concerned authorities about to to be better serving on the rare Polish Johnson little thing that's completely true because I think that most of them do not want to Bracks it most of them do what they want the National Health Service not to have any private. Sector probably never do when the power to destroy what little we have we labor supporters have left here but you think about it if the children get in again the damage they're going to do to ordinary people a lot of already told you that the argument is this that if you go in the hard left of you you won't get elected then you don't get elected does money I'm telling you go do a little run which is what Blair did sorry for interrupting What's a hard left well the numbers are still hard right. With you one of the right is you look around you really got. To be going but Blair I think rightly you will disagree doubtless said the only way I'll get power is to go middle of the road so we'll influence he put a lot of money in the N.H.S. You mean the plowed money into the N.H.S. Into me encouraged me to do it but he did and he did things that you would agree with the minimum wage I'm sure he doesn't agree with it but freedom of information so he couldn't come up it was in opposition to that only did it when he was in power it was enough for searching years yeah. Now I did a few things but when you consider what the Tories are on 9 years it pales into insignificance when did you have an opportunity to really change society for the better but all the people bottom it for the drastically changed everything but he didn't Tories are taking advantage of these 9 years to really screw the working class ordinary people. I'm in fear of I mean that felt like this previously but I am in fear of the future if we don't get some sort of a socialist government. As easily as I basically get and then only then will people realise the damage that done by Bolton's alongst of an individual like Frank Field check for human Ollie sort of people who have defected from the party EVERY want to dent represents a nail in the tough in the labor movement on the chance of getting justice for the millions of Labor voters out in the country desperate for something not to Johnson not any of the children is like we want somebody to do something. Moon in full for all the people at the bottom of society I'll leave them I don't like you very much for making you very clear in Frankfurt from what you're looking at your time by the way but old Listen to me recently no matter what you do drug use of I left out when I would Joey Shulman didn't know I was you know a load of shit. I agree mostly but everything up mens just then I was watching a program last night it's called Broken baby see 2 people that are working nice chat about now isn't for these companies and the poverty that's in the country. I've had to go on a regular basis twice a week now to live a poem and my. When and that and I sit and I look around me Raja it's a pattern says the nose on the face of what the way to state the country's And now at the moment these people with all these cuts they give. And all the rest of it and to think now that we've got Lynton Crosby and us waiting now on Facebook he's got a 1000000 pounds war chest to back Johnson in this breakfast that is absolutely for today flying isn't the think of. Those who believe breakfast when you you want to get your. Jones leave. The breakfast no data Raja nobody told was that was wasn't mentioned none of these things about medicines and. Folders and the stop back and all the rest of it rubbed it that way that wasn't mentioned and the referendum was it and now as of everybody's pushing now for the 2nd referendum and the only reason they got in last night and back and was resist just as again it's clear as daylight was the fact that to be talking about the 2nd referendum because they had a little as the Conservative party with a different colored flag but they they voted all of the same things that the positions were to now at this last. Obviously which isn't austerity it's policy to just be given a deal because it's quite interesting dominant Rob today probably days ago said and I'm quoting him now We made it clear that those in the campaign that we should strive for the deal but did not wasn't available that we should go on to make a success of bricks and I was questioning on the B.B.C. Almost every time he had said it was my old folks and used we said of course we prefer deal but there would be a risk. Now yes the media went to assume that all of the people that voted for BRACKS It was no mention of Turkey coming and he said they did argue though the was a possibility the B.B.C. But I don't believe that for one minute Well let me just tell you the B.B.C. Fact check you go through the B.B.C. Programme running what is the Today programme interview transmit really and do most you know vote leave campaign the do text the just an article written by Mr Brown Mr go on their own Those are examples of him thing the U.K. Would kill a bet it would secure a deal you know didn't talk anywhere about no deal exactly but anyway and the other thing runs in this is over in the United States now but it's actually about to be seeing and you can check it out on the B.B.C. Up like to be them saying that if we go to a W.T. You know that the whole service would be quite a touch hundreds of the the Americans because it is a far better system of running N.H.S. And we well he's always Augie's on record as saying that these are the same privatizing I just will be good idea you write exactly. How it usually means no but look at the employment he's got on people but these are the days of the small things baseball think the big things Roger the really big thing is that this 2nd referendum now it's got to happen because there is no way on this that this country can continue with the state it's in now at the moment and this austerity again that there's no such a word an addiction disaster but it's another word for profit say because that's all I see in front of me is poverty it's it's in for you know you can't you can't acknowledge you can see it it's it's in front of you yet then. Plowing Amen that doesn't seem to be anybody mention this but this program last night this broke. B.B.C. It was an excellent program on the week before and the group out on its own for another couple of weeks but it gives some insight but on the front of the Oh I know in the background and one situation where these pull people were struggling you could take Mrs May coming on one of Lynton Crosby. Quote You know it's just the paper that's struggling that time Jan Jan was just about managing a lot of this nonsense and it's being fed into the people and no Stevie's next well that they've gone off and there's no or no it in the world parliament lament go on holiday for the structure when I'm with interracial ISIS but I agree I agree on the only month I'll sleep if that's so imagine that this war chest now that this Crosby's guy that is going to flood the market now is going to float up all of the news outlets everything with this be no 2nd my friend which is going out and I was really on a 2nd referendum a job within the signs and I you know went the other way whether I will still have a slick country with country runs it but I reckon to be 74 and 30 again so I really do demonstrate how specific an aside so really believe it but again love that man was saying about mystical than I support John Mickel and I voted for them and they but when I when I go to Liverpool and I talk to so much straight unionist retired people and they said he's full of indecision but John must confess that I feel that I've been shouting at the child of Asian men if they go for the 2nd referendum and the whole of everybody I meet says the same thing and yet it doesn't seem to be getting through to say I remember my journals Well you know when something nice. Will says John talking a down talking down Corbin annoys me what exactly is cool being said that makes him such a bad leader if you start reading the right wing press and just listen to what he says is what people actually won't Yes I agree with you he's not a leader a great campaigner perhaps but at the moment he's just a target for the right wing and because of this maybe better standing down what makes a truly Hardy says gather late getting in what are they buried that they so frightened of being found in the woods and. Well just to take our minds on this for a moment or something else you might want to pick up on I don't know it was revealed yesterday that sales of single use plastic bags while big supermarkets have fallen dramatically since of Y.P. Charge of them was introduced so it would seem the attempt to change our habits when it comes to using bags is working but want to use instead as well as the obvious bag for life. It may help with the actions of a seemingly forgotten item the old fashioned shopping trolley while manuals may have members who are now in the wheeled cart from home to the market could make a modern day we just Rafferty has been finding out. So volatile had a revival You see loads of teens wearing bum bags again these days but shopping trolleys really. Definitely I love my shopping trolley that's true he swears by his Wally shop it Charlie I use it every week my market shop it works really well because I live in town so I don't want to be carrying loads of heavy bags while they do have a big river reputation to be a bit of a type Object type gas you know I probably would go for something like a little tart and sit on version I've become for more of just a simple black secret design I guess. I think more people should be using shopping trolleys they need to get over they are not a stick and get out there with the trolleys get it filled and shop local Jews a cool guy a trust him but what will the general public really think if I take a shopping trolley around the market. Everything wise you got I would we swing out to swing out you. Know not to me looks like an old structure I know. Something. I wouldn't be wanting to pull that thing down the town no way no way. Or no it's cool. It's not I'm an old lady if I took it down the right. That would be kind of making me a really old lady if you used it probably it could start a trend. Is a bit of an influence of that possibly. A mixed bag if I'm honest if shopping trolley is a truly coming back they're going to need some help with their image we're going to need some marketing a lot of this straight advertising Now let's be honest the home shopping trolley could do with a bit of a rebranding here my Didn't you see a sweet little old lady all the way down to the local shops the trolleys need a slight repositioning to help them appeal to a younger broader audience the answer might not be as far away as it seems is a relatively easy switch from something that's considered old fashioned to something that's considered retro printed a billboard ad campaign showing impossibly influences pulling the trolleys along behind them might be the perfect way to switch this popular mindset right and influence you say OK let's log on to Instagram I've got some phone calls tonight. I mean. I know for a fact you'll be about to turn around the image of this product so are you on board how do you fancy posted pictures of always shopping trolleys you know ready. Right now everybody convinced maybe the shopping trolley revival is going to take a bit of work out. Hard to deport Rafferty. Come back I personally doubt it. I blow my cover of school you know Michael. Hi Roger I'm terribly nervous coming on your show I've been on a few times before. This election conspiracy theorist Michel you know right. And I believe that one of the series is always to far follow the labor. And the fact that you see things like Jeremy Corbyn not really a poem is waste. And they never seem to draw blood in the Conservatives to see because on the show keep people happy. See I believe that how IOPS England around the world are waiting to get a new world order and. Have literally strangled labor is noted to distracted to the nearest developed to show that the conservatives will get back in high option labor and save the next cetera. Have all agreed among themselves that even considers it back in. And them alike. New Zealand start. Unlike most of your people phoning. I'm quite convinced that when this next election concessive can because that's part of the New World Order policy and I believe that for Arch will get thrown into the conservatives in some way. And I believe to be. Clear links with the USA and this is so personally seen and seen woman we see has come true and you. Don't you consider present Conservative leader and you getting months ago I don't judge the things I had 2 months is what it's all a series. And these people at the general election over actually believe that because of the party they have to be elected for whatever new world all the things . They got to persuade people to elect the like people the way they want people elected Yeah well I think I'll go even. To some degree in the balance at the moment Labor has been discredited by this and she is Semitism thing I know the problems these guys are in order to. Put people off because I'm one of hers closer links to government was than pretty USA and. And their political opinions are still in agreement with it but you would never admit I think the thing they would not agree to governing Iraq there's no evidence of ever go we want to be close to the. Nationals game passionately interested just continually Well daughter. While she. Has no evidence in the New World Order so go I don't know the. I can't see any evidence what you say. There's evidence in fact that he doesn't cause racism or well he may not be a good enough leader doesn't mean that he's part of the New World. I mean no largely those you mean like you that mean the kind of like so mistake when he came elected another he was re-elected very strongly I agree but never left the party did not think you would get elected. As a savior Jesus your series mining company. Policy country. Handily just a conservative party is causing. I don't really know election change to get in again. That's not really that's not a given that the Tories going to win the next election the one people want to know yeah I'm sure. We'll get growth into it somehow and recreate closely with the USA. Doesn't want to say oh I will watch out the right ones what about Michael Thankfully I might have Michael there in front of around his and I do wish some real contributors wouldn't try to deny language so as to make their points Jennifer and I didn't I said there's no such word Will Sterrett in the dictionary it's in all of mine says rhymes including the locked in $33.00 Oxford English Dictionary which cites the use of it is only the 17th century. Join me in Canada each Friday at midnight for The Late Late Show. It's an hour of Beatles music your request sound solo Beatles Tuesday. And we've got special guests picking their favorite tracks it's not like Beatle sham Fridays at midnight with me in Kennedy on B.B.C. Radio myself. And do you like to help Zoe's place in the N.T. Conservative Club telling a charity not visit his place at 8 o'clock this evening in Murphy's and Charlie Newport the tickets are 5 pounds on the door and the play I want to make came last to the blah blah it is the extraordinary piece of work nor the drama as a spectacle is Michael Morpurgo warhorse while he's making a return a welcome return to the blue Batley it until the 17th of August. It's a wonderful piece suggests to be something to go a long evening performances at 730 to get prices 14 pounds and I mentioned before but he wants a Portal City chosen him future whether Glen Miller shall in effect call billboard lets instead tonight and over the weekend the proceeds going to that prosthetic charity limb feature some of that tonight and Mondays tomorrow and Sunday 230 James Rollins on the line of James. Turner. I mean God you know Frank Field or if you hopefully listening to this. I just want to become a part of him I just want to say back to him but because he's a man who's always stood up for his principles. Respect him for even though he didn't go to the lip he wants breakfast Well I wish he'd come but never mind that principle because the fact that it was something that he said I wanted to mention you know the reason about the reason why he did that playbook he mentioned onto some of his many also mentioned bullying bullying I shoot he means within the party I'm not really a political person. And I hope about you know what I care about people. Also I think that's something that's been forgotten and it's very important. And it's this regarding bullying. Can't be denied that there's just a sad little corner of people just a little corner people and labor who just want to attack any party who if they say one thing you know face. You know anyone who disagrees with their talk them believe them to remember when equal I'm going right back to. The contest to be Labor leader Oh yes and Andre eagle was in that contest and not a match but I've met a system rare and she's a brilliant person as his sister well then she would be well qualified anyway the thing was that what happened was shocked me to the core and this was I think before you know they're in the sandwiches and stuff came out which personally you know upsets me was very homophobic graffiti on her constituency office walls Yeah that was so disgusting and I don't think any of us realized at the time that face was kind of those people who for some reason and I don't know it's not for me to say the reasons I could only guess feel comfortable in the Labor policy who in fact do not represent the Labor policy but very often people who are bullies and I'm not OK But you know I was I don't I'm not Muslim but if anybody bullies somebody for what I have a you know whatever reason. That is so disgusting I'm not bullying I don't believe those people were homophobic anymore than I really think that the people who are attacking Jews. Know anything about Jewish people or anything Israel and I think they're just people who have crept in the way you know you can get an investigation of a you know something that you don't want into your house you can get cockroaches on the house and be being dealt with but but. Thing with. I think a lot of people who say well you know someone was on your show Marc Cherry recently and he was saying people don't care much about Hunty Semitism and then why I'd agree with them because why should the hey you know it's not something that not the majority of people in the majority of of people who be Labor voters are all they both voters and don't hate anyone they're not racist or anything quite so it's something that's not even thought about but actually. They do care about people do care about racism I may do care about bullying I'm not is something so important was mentioning management Eagle thing that happened is because racist is a bully. Bully you know it will blow you how do you want. To die it will be you tomorrow I think cerebral point is no different from sexism always isms they're bullies that's all they are they actually counts very often because it's a journey I think I mean I always had my lines were because she came out most impulsive because she came out and he's been around 20 years ago she came out as gay she has a lovely relationship with her partner which is nothing to me here so I'm so proud and she's just a very happy person you know just as an easy visual and he was brave to come out because not many people were coming out in that time thank goodness more now do I and I thought you know I thought things will finish with that kind of nonsense. Doesn't seem to be the case well it should you know waltz it's like they say you know have a fall from Ross are actually there in the suit someplace and I don't know what the truth about it but the thing is. I mean actually right through obviously have a place and nature was racist bullies doing all this but you know what they have to be dealt with and if you don't doubt we'll deal with them because you know well what they say if you do not think the pulse of the problem you know it's what I thought that quote it's unnecessary and that God men do nothing for evil evil to do about it what are you sure oh yeah whatever the word was you know if you do do nothing it's like any think you know. And so I think Frank failed standing open saying no I will not tolerate this even though he knows he's taking a chance and I hope he does get by which is a little because I would vote for him if I was over the water you know what I mean because a principled man as you say I like to leave it out and is is is where to go also. I largely think people voted for David olds and not because they were Lib Dems somebody oversee all politics or to be he got majority because everybody votes because they don't like him as a person tells me what for them is Grayson the same thing may well happen with which frankly we should probably be on GIGO come to get him for a vote with level 2 but thanks for helping out Jane timeframe OK Thank you Jane there from Allison is Joe from Wilson Hello Joe Hi good afternoon good afternoon to you that so that shopping trolley is yes something fashionable and it terrifies me. Well I mean can you imagine can imagine standing in the Kill enough staff on the robbery at the grocery shops available everybody's got to shopping trolley imagine how long the queue is going to pay and then people I have to have seen if there's a pulling these trolleys around tend to put them in the trolley that the putting that food in so you've got all those dirty screaming wheels inside the trolley where you can get the children sitting in those strollers as well where still the best place to have a nightmare about this tonight prime on the on the Saturday with all the young ladies with the regulars and then the take let's say and I'm not saying this and it's and again slap but our poll immaturely around crime on a shipment close and you know I'm 70 Well I've got red hair because I'll never be old enough to have gray hair and I'm 70 Well I'm actually use a bag because I shall never be over enough to fill a shopping trolley but I bet your mother did though your grandmother did I don't know my dad did I really am a dad but then again when my dad was pulling the shopping trolley was nearly 97 yet maybe when I'm 90 I might change you know going to get a lot of people of 90 perhaps in prime on a book and you can imagine getting on a bus and everybody's got a shop. Truly not busy days but we have bags in a bag mission up in Troy that we can push the shopping trolley but your own. Thank you God thank you going into town and everybody's got the shopping trolley on the phone. Yeah you probably didn't know. I'm shopping trolleys. Things I'm always tripping over the way you. Are very strong on this rug Joe. Have a good day no idea Cheers love over. From Walton now barrels looking for a girl of the east you want to ban them as well though. I well know they were sweet little lady shopper trouble I love you well. Well I would like you simple question Roger Yes. People to be talking about you know I'm in the shopping trolleys. You want to take with them when they go on holiday. Well it's a case on when you. Get of course it is. Yeah but you're not trying to get some people are getting on the bus with them and nevertheless think you are in everybody. Else but Joe says if everybody shove in surely you'd have trouble of the bus because I have no room. But the scientists are able ember marbles are used to paste shopping. And should be carrying 2 bags you know one was about tempering the potatoes and one on. Something else and the other one of their arms were nearly reaching the floor and I say for goodness sake mom has a shopping trolley I'm going to you know use a shopping trolley so I Paul so want. Anyway she reluctant Lee used to say she said the best thing since sliced bread. She said black doesn't make us more to know me absolutely shoulders a lot better you know but the thing is Roger you say you get even just one bottle of lemonade it weighs a tome. So it does understand the way that you know well I couldn't carry all those things as well as bottles of stuff when I go shop sometimes if I got the trolley I'm saying but I'm complaining about the way some of us weather can carry a similar you know Joe to some Actually I feel for you Carol all the people we were invite me. She was worried Joe was. You shopping trolley in the in the in the cream you know we will grow I don't do that I just pull it behind make good that's good for you for the few minutes you're forgiven by. The J.C. We were both on years ago I remember when when the co-ops would go into a special meal have Avenue attendant receive market on used to have a brain where you could put your shopping trolley and then you went around to shop and then at the end you know you put it all in the trial in your own shopping trolley you know it was that in the co-op and it was from your head from you. I thought really clever idea maybe that will come back if the shopping trolley comes back that makes all sense of actually. My birth will happen but I don't believe I would because if you haven't got a call what do you do exactly thanks in no you make me. So how do you. Know when I'm very pleased when she get a motorized shopping trolley back then I think we don't interact and. Love it as we do barrel things or ignite. Like that spiral we believe that from from a go to chance went to the the email for who we have this is wrong and I think it says in relation to that Breckon is the election result Here's a thought label study 200 votes compared to the last election that the Conservatives lost about 1100 votes using the same comparison for the media to say Labor did worse is a bit of a red herring as usual and climate change is just a massive hoax is junk from heighten the magnetic poles off swapping the north to south and south to north and it's changing the weather system so that plan if you want to stop people dumb says parking in bus stops employed the people who police the no stopping parking zone by the apple it will peel holdings I think in the you mean. Your music your story your own life. You see radio messy side. Yes it's now 2 o'clock and that means it's a good weekend ahead for you and hopefully it started off by a very good performance from the young lady herself generally someone's going to get grouty that they can get in the mood but to get there we need to catch up on old latest news and that comes now from Phil keep so. Good afternoon the Birkenhead M.P. Frank Field is forming his own political party to contest the next general election will stand as the Birkenhead social justice candidate he left Labor last year claiming there was a culture of intolerance and he's refused to say whether he believes he'll retain the public support at the polls I've never played the game but I can somehow influence if I'm loud mouthed about my chances of winning every election and the voters here are sovereign and they are past any form of pressure propaganda or whatever they go off to the polls and decided engineers say they remain very concerned that a damaged reservoir and Darbyshire could collapse flooding hundreds of homes in Wally Bridge water flowing into tar Brook reservoir is reported to have reduced considerably since last night and helicopter has been dropping banks of sand gravel and stones to try to stabilize the wall of the dam the owner of Liverpool's Littlewoods building has suggested there's a shortage of skilled staff to work in the new.
