Brunswick Corp. announced the reopening of its 225,000-square-foot Palm Coast, Fla., manufacturing facility. The expansion will increase Boston Whaler production by 40 percent and add more than 400 jobs to the local economy.
Brunswick celebrated the reopening
at an event hosted by Dave Foulkes, Brunswick CEO; Aine Denari, president of Brunswick Boat Group; Nick Stickler, president of Boston Whaler; and community leaders.

Brunswick : Officially Reopens Flagler County Plant to Expand Boston Whaler Production


PALM COAST, Fla. - May 21, 2021 - Brunswick Corporation (NYSE: BC) and Boston Whaler today held a groundbreaking ceremony ahead of the reopening of its 225,000 square foot Flagler County manufacturing facility to expand production due to record demand for Boston Whaler's award-winning line of fiberglass boats. The expansion will increase production by 40 percent and bring more than 400 jobs to the local economy over the next 18-24 months.
The event was hosted by Dave Foulkes, Brunswick CEO; Aine Denari, President of Brunswick Boat Group; and Nick Stickler, President of Boston Whaler. Joining the Brunswick leadership team were local dignitaries, employees, and community leaders, all of whom are looking forward to welcoming Brunswick back to Flagler County.

Sarasota, Fla.-based Uflex USA — a manufacturer of marine mechanical, hydraulic and electronic steering systems, engine controls, steering wheels, trim tabs and more — is bolstering its sales and marketing team with three new hires.
Robert Grantham brings three decades of marine industry experience to his role as OEM sales manager, including a 24-year stint with Mercury and Brunswick Boat Group and several years with Suzuki.
Recent college graduates Kayla Harris and Cole Smith also joined Uflex — Harris in a marketing coordinator position and Smith in sales.
General manager Scott Rath said the company has seen unprecedented growth in the last few years and that the time was right to add talent.

Brunswick Corp. revealed strategic plans for the next two years during its annual Investors Day, which include a significant adoption of electric propulsion, e-powered models and the launch of a new boat brand.

opened the virtual event highlighting the company’s record first quarter. Net sales of $1.43 billion reflected a 48.4 percent increase compared with the same quarter last year, with strong demand across all segments.
Foulkes also spoke of the continued transformation of Brunswick, which the company is calling the “Next Wave,” an extension of an operating model that started in 2019.

Aine Denari, president of Brunswick Boat Group, joined the Center for Sportfishing Policy’s board of directors.
“CSP is honored to welcome Aine to the board of directors,” CSP president Jeff Angers
said in a statement. “We look forward to working with her to promote recreational fishing access and advance public policy priorities.”

Brunswick Corp. and Wells Fargo Commercial Distribution Finance extended a joint venture that began in 2002 to bring floorplan financing to Mercury Marine and Brunswick Boat Group dealers throughout North America.
“Wells Fargo has been a long-standing partner of Brunswick … including almost 20 years through our joint venture,” Brunswick CFO Ryan Gwillim
said in a statement. “We are currently experiencing incredibly high demand in the marine industry, and this extension will ensure that our channel partners in North America have access to high-quality floorplan financial services.”
The three-year extension is in effect through December 2025 and includes expanded financing to Freedom Boat Club franchisees.

METTAWA, Ill., Jan. 25, 2021 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Brunswick Corporation (NYSE: BC) today announced that it is increasing production capacity at three of its global boat manufacturing facilities to meet unprecedented consumer demand and assist in replenishing historically low field inventory levels.
Brunswick will reopen its 225,000 square-foot Palm Coast, Florida boat manufacturing facility to expand dedicated manufacturing capability for Boston Whaler products by an additional 40 percent. The Palm Coast facility, which has been inactive since 2018, was designed for the manufacture of large boats.
