East Rockhill adds to open space; sewer pumping station bids approved

EAST ROCKHILLÂ â The newest addition to the township s open space land doesn t stand alone.
It s adjacent to the open space we currently have near Deibler Elementary School, so we can connect to existing open space, board Chairman David Nyman said following the April 27 East Rockhill Township Board of Supervisors meeting. During the meeting, the board approved the agreement of sale to purchase the 1.8-acre tract at 1404 Schwenkmill Road.
The $95,000 purchase price was based on an appraisal of the property s market value, Will Oetinger, the township s solicitor, said.

The board also approved condemning the property, but Oetinger said that is done to provide tax benefits to the seller. ....

Bucks County Coronavirus testing Delaware Valley university COVID-19

Bucks County is expanding COVID-19 testing starting next week, and officials annouced those same sites would eventually be flipped to become vaccination centers once the vaccine is ready for the public here.
At the county commissioners meeting Monday officials announced 7-day PCR testing sites at Bucks County Community College s Lower Bucks and Upper Bucks campuses and on the campus of Delaware Valley University will open for nine hours a day starting Jan. 11.
The daily testing sites at Delaware Valley University in Doylestown and the Bucks County Community College s Upper Bucks and Lower Bucks campuses are planned to continue for 21 days after testing starts, said county Chief Operating Officer Margaret McKevitt. ....
