Buddy Shute and the Motivators, The Jeff Horton Band and The Downtown Livewires will perform at 7 p.m. Saturday at Meteor Guitar Gallery, 128 W. Central Ave. in Bentonville, for the Bound For Beale fundraiser hosted by the Ozark Blues Society. The bands travel to the International Blues Challenge in Memphis, Tenn., Jan. 24-28. Tickets to the local fundraiser are $25 for general admission, and table reservations are available. Search for 2023 Bound for Beale Fundraiser on Eventbrite.

Playing, and Supporting, the Blues

This week 60% of Buddy Shute and the Motivators (Buddy along with Brenda and Steve Baskin) came to the Firmin-Garner Performance Studio. Their CD, "You Gotta Move" is the Ozark Blues Society of Northwest Arkansas' selection to represent the region in the International Blues Challenge in Memphis. Buddy and others will be playing at the Meteor Guitar Gallery tomorrow night in support of sending this year's OBS artist reps, Downtown Livewires, to Memphis.

LIVE! Music: New Year s Eve fun starts tonight, continues Saturday

Ring in the New Year all weekend with Arkansauce at George s Majestic Lounge in Fayetteville. The newgrass foursome performs at 9:30 p.m. today with Mighty Pines, a St. Louis-based rootsy band who has shared the stage with JJ Grey & Mofro, The Dead South, Parker Millsap, Fruition and Sam Bush. Saturday night, Arkansauce will be joined by Sicard Hollow, a jamgrass band out of Nashville, Tenn. General admission for a two-day pass is $35 or $20 per night.
