Jack C. Morrison, formerly of Geneva, Illinois and most recently of Normal, IL died peacefully at Heritage Health in Normal, Illinois at the age of 95, with family at his side. Jack is survived by his children Jim Morrison of Dundee, Illinois, David Morrison of Fort Myers, Florida, and Beth Morrison Cash (Eric) of Hudson, Illinois; Grandchildren Jessica Morrison of Saint Cloud, Minnesota, Sam (Ashley) Cash of Bloomington, Illinois and Emily Cash of Normal, Illinois. He married Lorna Springer on December 28, 1952. They celebrated 63 years of marriage before her passing in January of 2016. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lorna Springer Morrison, and his parents. Jack was born on May 19, 1927, in Burnt Prairie, Illinois to Martin T. and Helen E. (Haefele) Morrison. He graduated from Fairfield Community High School and enlisted in the Army in 1945, serving in WW 2 in Germany as part of the Finance Department. Carroll Edward Strange, 88 of Fairfield passed away at 6:55 PM, Sunday, January 15, 2023, at Fairfield Memorial Hospital. Born on October 4, 1934, in Flora, IL to Delbert and Wilma Gladys (Yates) Strange, he loved animals and was a sports enthusiast who enjoyed following his kids and grandkids sports. Carroll was well known for working in oilfield services, starting at Fluid Pack Pump in Clay City before moving to Fairfield in 1960 where he continued to work for them until 1983. He then started Strange Pump Services in Fairfield with his sons Mark and Doug where he worked until his retirement in 2004. Carroll was also a longtime member of the Fairfield Elks Lodge. Carroll is survived by sons Mark (Maria) Strange of Flora, IL, Scott Strange of Riverview, FL, and Doug (Beth) Strange of Fairfield, stepsons Randy Green of Harrisburg, IL and Roger Green of Burnt Prairie, IL, 5 grandchildren, 5 step grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, and 10 step great grandchildren.
