MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) - The South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control announced Tuesday 1,554 new COVID-19 cases and 32 additional deaths.
This brings the total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in South Carolina since the start of the pandemic to 400,472 and deaths to 6,599, officials said.
In Horry County, there were 96 new COVID-19 cases and two additional deaths. In Florence County, 35 new virus cases were reported and no additional deaths.

CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCSC) - Officials with the South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control announced on Tuesday afternoon that they were changing the way the percent positive is calculated for COVID-19 cases.
Previously, state health officials produced the percent positive by dividing the number of people with positive results by the number of people who had taken tests overall which included positive and negative results. ....
