A lot has changed in Capitola in 150 years. It has seen a growth in both population in businesses, its roads and highways have replaced train service and it was even incorporated as a city during that time.
In 2024, we celebrate the 150th anniversary of the establishment of Camp Capitola by Samuel Alonzo Hall on June 18, 1874.
As we usher in 2024, I am grateful to begin the final year in my second term on Capitola’s City Council, serving as the city’s mayor for the second time.
