High Winds and Heavy Snow Cause Havoc in Province

Winds reached triple digits in metro overnight and will remain high throughout the day according to Rodney Barney, a meteorologist with the Environment Canada. Peak gusts recorded at St. John’s international reached 115 km/h while gusts at Cape Pine topped 130 km/h.
