STAMFORD A night out drinking ended with the arrest of a Greenwich town employee after police said he pulled a loaded gun on a pair of good Samaritans who had given him a ride home.
Stamford police Capt. Richard Conklin said Benjamin Fumega, 24, was drinking by himself at Vinny’s Backyard Restaurant and Bar on Saturday night when he and two other patrons developed a “rapport.” ....

Police: New London woman charged with murder in death of 4-year-old son

NEW LONDON Investigators obtained an arrest warrant Sunday charging a local woman with the death of her 4-year-old son, city police said.
Police identified the woman as 33-year-old Tiffany Farrauto, a New London resident, in a news conference Sunday. She faces charges of murder and risk of injury after her son was found “unresponsive and unconscious” in her apartment Sunday morning by officers responding to a report of a woman smashing a car with a baseball bat, police said.
“We’ve lost a second child in the city to violence in as many weeks, this time a 4-year-old,” Mayor Michael Passero said in the news conference. “Our community is hurting.” ....

NEW LONDON A local woman charged with killing her 4-year-old son early Sunday was ordered held on $2 million during a brief hearing Monday in Superior Court.
Tiffany Farrauto, 33, was charged Sunday afternoon with murder, risk of injury to a minor and criminal mischief after police said she told investigators that she “strangled” her son.
A New London judge continued her case to March 22 and transfered the matter to Part A court, where serious felonies are heard. ....
