A train named in honour of Sir Captain Tom Moore stopped off in Swindon on what would have been his 101st birthday. The Intercity Express Train 800025 arrived at platform 4 at 7.12pm on Friday and set off for the next stage of its journey two minutes later. This formed part of an epic challenge for the train to make100 stops at stations across the GWR network in just over 40 hours, covering nearly 1,500 miles.
