Over the last two years, Carmon Colangelo, a celebrated printmaker and dean of Washington University in St. Louis’ Sam Fox School of Design & Visual Arts, has worked with the new 21c Museum Hotel St. Louis to create artworks for all 173 guest rooms.

While people quickly integrated word-based generative artificial intelligence (AI) bots into their daily work and philosophical discussions about work, similar technology is raising major ethical and technical questions for academics and students involved in the art world.

21c Museum Hotels, a multi-venue contemporary art museum and award-winning hospitality brand, is thrilled to announce the opening of its highly anticipated property in the heart of downtown St. Louis. Like all 21c properties, 21c Museum Hotel St. Louis challenges the conventions of both the hospitality and museum worlds, providing a space where travelers and locals can come together to experience contemporary art exhibitions, community-focused cultural programming, and inspired food and beverage options that spark conversation and create connection.
