THE first photograph in this week's trip down West Fife's Memory Lane is a view looking east from the top of Dunfermline Fire Station towards the area where Carnegie Drive was in the process of being constructed. The white building on the right was the Bath Tavern, now renamed Coady's Bar. Further along the street, which was called Reform Street, can be see Dunfermline Opera House just before it was demolished to make way for the Kingsgate Shopping Centre. The Upper Railway Station can be seen in the distance before it too was demolished to make way for Dunfermline Sheriff Court.
