Cadets help keep Peak Creek clean
By PATRICK FORD patrick@southwesttimes.com Virginia Tech Corp of Cadets Bravo Company spent its second annual service project with Friends of Peak Creek (FOPC), cleaning up the Gatewood Dam and Case Knife area. Volunteers removed 162 tires, 58 bags of trash, four TVs, three mattress frames, three couches, three carpets, two toilets, two mattresses and more. The clean-up had the cadets on hills and in waterways that lead to Peak Creek.
