More than 30 restaurants are participating in Tuesday's ‘Dining Out for Life’ event in conjunction with San Francisco AIDS Foundation (SFAF). Twenty-five percent of the proceeds from each restaurant bill will go towards promoting health and wellness and will be donated to the organization.

Like many life milestones, my journey began at Ikea.
On a sunny Saturday afternoon, I wove through the winding path of steel barricades leading to the entrance of the blue-and-gold mecca of cheap furniture, only to find I was at the wrong end. Bravely, I asked an employee for guidance, who pointed me towards a tiny pick-up window to the far left of the store. After a few moments of confusion over where the real line was, I emerged victorious, Sunnersta utility cart in hand. No endless Ikea maze for me today: I had pre-ordered online.
Despite our astoundingly difficult times, fans and patrons of LGBTQ Bay Area bars and nightclubs were extraordinarily generous to multiple fundraising efforts in 2020, donating nearly $400,000. This is in addition to the SF Queer Nightlife Fund s more than $300,000 raised. You can still donate to help your favorite venues survive.

The popular bar a frequent B.A.R. Bestie winner, is not just for bears, but welcome to all participated in the outdoor dining and drinks experience, with a terrific-hand-built parklet, before the second shutdown. They re currently offering artwork by Pete Doolittle as part if their fundraiser. It has been a difficult year to say the least and it fills us with gratitude that you ve been there for us these last few month, said the owners in their fundraiser statement. It has reminded us that 440 isn t just another bar but a staple in the LGBTQ community. It s shown how we can all come together and adapt to change.
