COLCHESTER — When the all-Black 10th Cavalry arrived at Fort Ethan Allen in the early 20th century, its soldiers were not quite welcomed with open arms.
On June 22, 2023 Col. Johnny Galbert assumed command of the 90th missile wing at F.E. Warren Air Force Base in Wyoming. Galbert, a Camden native, has over 20 years of experience as a missileer and made history as the first Black wing commander at the base.
The city of Georgetown said it didn’t oppose the sign but needed to be involved in the process for deciding to install it.
