Greetings and salutations, 11W. It’s been a long time since I last posted a lengthy, lacrosse focused bit on here. Lots of life changes led to the delay, but I’m going to pick things up as best I can. Ohio State’s men’s lacrosse team officially scrimmages another team on January 27", so time is running short. There’s a whole lot to get into, with coaching changes, personnel changes (heads up: this is a whole new team), and a much rougher schedule than is advisable with the unknowns on the roster and staff. First things, as always, first.

We have arrived. After months of little to no real news aside from transfer pickups, a new recruiting season is upon us. For the next month, commitments will come hot and heavy, to all teams. We have 76 DI programs looking to fill rosters with the top talent possible. COVID holdovers have officially dried up. And that means this class is going to be a wild one to see be recruited.

Since we have passed the month mark in the contact period for the 2023 class, I thought it would be interesting to see how the staff has performed thus far in bringing in a wave of new Buckeyes. The commitments across the sport have come fast and furious through the first 30+ days, but now we have our first lull as the eager prospects commit, and the patient prospects continue to evaluate their options. I will proceed through each position group, and do a bit of a heat check for any outstanding prospects the staff may be in pursuit of as the recruiting process moves forward.
