Now you can see it continues to spin 250miles south of Corpus Christie. If you look at the cloud tops, we have a lot of convection north of the center. Once it comes together overnight, it should ramp up, continue to strengthen lieu the overnight hours. Part of the reason why, you look at the gulf of mexico, its like bath temperature. Temperatures in the water, upper 80s. Thats feeding the storm. There is not a lot of wind sheer and the storm will make landfall likely corps Corpus Christie asa category three hurricane and essentially stall. It will be so close to the coast, it wont weaken much. We are looking at the potential for major flooding, 15 to 25 to perhaps 30inches of rain. We have the local forecast later on. Jim . ....
