Providers granted 90 days following end of PHE to comply with HIPAA telehealth rules

The Office of Civil Rights is providing a 90-day transition period for healthcare providers to come into compliance with the HIPAA Rules regarding telehealth, according to the Department of Health and Human Services OCR. The transition period will be in effect beginning on May 12 and will expire at 11:59 p.m. on August 9. OCR said it would continue to exercise its enforcement
