Clearly, we love going to the northern parts of our state. The Northern Lower Peninsula, and the Upper Peninsula have been getting lots and lots of love, and with good reason. They are absolutely beautiful, and have so much to offer visitors, from incredible scenery, to amazing things to do. Well, Michiganders, we know where you’re headed this summer: “Up North.”
We asked you this week to nominate Michigan’s Best Vacation Spot, and you responded with an overwhelming number of destinations for Northern Michigan.
The Northern Lower Peninsula led the way with 62 nominations.
The Upper Peninsula was next with 37.
With a total of 132 nominations, that’s 75 percent of your nominations for places “Up North.”
