Manx Wildlife Week - The Dawn Chorus

2024-04-28 05:00 - Manx Wildlife Trust have been working alongside Friends of Ballaugh Old Church as they rewild their churchyard. Below is an event that the Friends have organised for Manx Wildlife Week. Watch the sunrise, listen to the world awake… How lucky are we to live in such a fantastic place. Take the time to appreciate your surroundings in the tranquil setting of Ballaugh Old Churchyard. It may be an early start, but it will be worth it! So, bring a chair to this drop-in event and a blanket and binoculars if you have them. Drinks are provided and breakfast baps will be available to buy. This is a free event, but all donations are much appreciated and will go towards the re-wilding of the churchyard and the upkeep of the building. There are steps up to the entrance of the churchyard and the ground inside is uneven. Parking is available on the lane outside the church and there are no toilet facilities. No dogs please. In event of bad weather please look at Friends of Ballaugh Old Church Facebook page for details.
