In the coming weeks, markers will be placed in front of the Sisson Houses on Highwood Avenue, which were built between 1867 and 1874 for the family of Charles Sisson, founder of the Northern Railroad of New Jersey. AMORY – A potentially bad situation was averted April 10 when someone living in the area of McAlpine Lake came quickly to the rescue of a 5-year-old who went underwater.
