Josh McEachran celebrated his 28th birthday on Monday by making us all feel very old and also by signing a short-term contract through the end of the season with MK Dons. He had been training with the third division side since requesting Birmingham City to cancel his contract in January, and now becomes the third former Chelsea Academy player in the Dons squad, alongside our former youth captain Jordan Houghton, 25, and young forward Charlie Brown, 21, who arrived in the winter transfer window.

Chelsea not expected to recall Conor Gallagher from West Bromwich Albion

Conor Gallagher has been one of the most impressive players in the Chelsea Loan Army this season, establishing himself as a key player under Slaven Bilić at West Bromwich Albion from just about day one of the new season. Unfortunately, the newly promoted side have not been very good as a team overall, and Bilić paid the price with an untimely sacking — right after a more than creditable 1-1 draw against Manchester City, shockingly.
Bilić’s replacement was the far less progressive Sam Allardyce, which led to some suggestions that Chelsea might look to recall Gallagher. Fortunately, the 20-year-old has continued to feature under Big Sam, even if the Baggies’ results have not improved in the least bit, and they’re still looking for their first win since late November.
