SEVIERVILLE — Some buildings in the downtown area are starting to get some external upgrades with help from a state grant program.

5ifth House is a creative collaboration of Yawa Gwen and SoulFlower. Meeting in late 2022 at a Cherry Pit show. S.F and Yawa met after and jammed and then ended up doing their first show together performing a song they just wrote together. After that the summer was filled with fun local gigs and music played into late nights. 5ifth House name has the intention of fostering a space that is safe for creative expression and making the accessibility to one’s creative force known and accessed. I think it blossomed from a place of openness and connection.

Born in Madison WI, Leo Dreis (Marvelous) is the Founder/ Director of The Cherry Pit©, manic composer of songs, and a connector of creatives. Inspired by the piano stylings of New Orleans LA, the rhythms of Russian dances and the written word of fairytales, Marvelous creates innovative stories of song from a myriad of motivations. Steeped in Soul & Blues, the improvisational spirit of Marvelous travels through his piano, voice and guitar, conveying heartfelt messages that transcend time.
