On December 25 at around 11.15am, police were called to Cliffe Lane in Great Harwood following an accident in which a Ford Fiesta skidded after sheet ice had formed as a result of a water leak in the road. Luckily, the driver was uninjured, but had to leave his car in the car park of the Dog and Otter pub awaiting recovery.
