Pissios drove the development of the filmmaking industry in Chicago when he launched Cinespace in 2010. Now, dozens of films and television series are shot in the Windy City. Alex Pissios sold the 52-stage studio to TPG Real Estate in November 2021 for a reported $1 billion. The offer was too good for Pissios and his family to pass up.
