US won the right to challenge evidence from a medical expert who found that WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange would be at high risk of suicide if extradited to the US to face hacking and espionage charges. Two high court judges ruled today that the US had an arguable case to challenge expert evidence given by psychiatrist professor Michael Kopleman who found that Assange was likely to take his own life.

The full hearing in the case will take place on Oct 27 and 28, says judge.

Dozens of Assange's supporters, including the main opposition Labour party's former leader Jeremy Corbyn, gathered outside the court.
