On Friday, the Bears raced in Washington for the Pac-12 Championship. The Cal women’s cross country team placed eighth out of 12 competing programs, and the men’s team placed fifth out of nine.
On Friday, the Cal cross country teams will look to claim the Pac-12 championship in Washington. The race will be hosted by the University of Washington at Chambers Creek Regional Park in University Place.
The Bears will run in an ideal 76-degree weather this Saturday when they head down to Santa Clara to race in the Bronco Invitational. Cal will face the likes of Cal Poly, UC Santa Barbara and Fresno State at Baylands Regional Park.
In their first race of the season, the Bears scored well, placing second in men’s, just behind Boise State, and third in women’s, behind Stanford and Boise State.
