Abbi Jacobson's reboot of 'A League of Their Own' will return for a second and final season on Amazon Prime, the streaming service confirmed Wednesday. The final season will four episodes long. The series, a reimagining of Penny Marshall's iconic baseball film, focuses on the experiences of women of color and queer women playing on a fictionalized version of an All-American Girls Professional Baseball League team during World War II.
“While obviously we were hoping for eleven seasons, we’re grateful to be able to continue to tell the story of these characters and this world," the show's creators said
