This town is gonna be here long after he’s gone, but it will always be Michael Stanley’s town. Cleveland icon, beloved rocker and radio personality Michael Stanley Gee passed away this weekend at the age of 72, after a seven-month battle with lung cancer.
According to a statement from Belkin/Live Nation and 98.5 WNCX, where Stanley was the afternoon drive-time DJ for more than 30 years, he died peacefully at home with his family March 5. ....

(Cleveland) - One of the most iconic rock and roll figures in Cleveland has died. Michael Stanley died Friday from lung cancer at the age of 72. Word of his health issues came out this week when WNCX Radio announced that Stanley was off the air because of serious health issues.
WNCX is saying that Michael will be laid to rest at Lake View Cemetery in a private service. In lieu of flowers, the family is asking that you make contributions in his memory to the Greater Cleveland Food Bank or the Cleveland Animal Protective League. The family put out a statement thanking Hospice of the Western Reserve, his friends, and extended family for being there for him. ....

AffoGATO raised more than $19,000 on GoFundMe to help the business keep afloat during the pandemic.
CLEVELAND, Ohio Affogato Cat Café got a little help from its supporters, raising more than $19,000 in two days to keep the local business afloat through the coronavirus pandemic.
Affogato opened in early 2019, becoming the first cat café in Northeast Ohio. The shop combines a regular coffeehouse section in front and a lounge section in back filled with adoptable cats. Cat adoptions support the Cleveland Animal Protective League. ....
