Particularly the african-american vote. warren s coalition is made up of groups that have a lot of enthusiasm heading into 2020. she s up double digits among democrats who identify as liberal, women with college degrees or more, white women and voters who say they want large scale change. and while both warren and biden with bidding formidable democratic coalitions, it s by no means a two way race exclusively, not yet. while 56% back biden or warren, 41% say they prefer somebody else right now including 14% who are backing bernie sanders who has his own coalition of much younger voters. but as we said yesterday we re starting to see the sorting process begin a bit, and ultimately democrats will need their eventual nominee to get both those coalitions onboard. we re going to talk more about that on the other side of this. but i m going to give you a cliché, the beer track and the wine track. we ll talk about that right after the break. track we ll talk about that right after the break. every day, visionaries are creating the future.

In terms of recruiting. i don t want to dismiss that because the more senate races you can at least make republicans have to fight for, the better off you are. and the better chance you have of picking off some of the winnable races. but if amy mcgrath wants to beat mitch mcconnell, the best thing she can do, i m being a little glib here. if she was a republican running at him from the right and saying we need some fresh conservative blood, he s been there long enough, i think that that might have a better chance. i think the other thing to understand about mitch mcconnell is that we use the old cliché about not taking things for granted. this is a politician that likes the fight, that has already months ago prepared an entire campaign against mcgrath on the chance that she might run. he s already prepared a campaign against other democrats that might run. plans he ll probably be able to leave on the shelf but he s prepared nonetheless. so a lot of politicians at his age, and he s in almost his late
It s cliché. we need unity and newed whys. trump rarely talks in those terms. democratic candidates were consuming with making critique of america. this is a caveat i have. whenever have we elected the elder statesman promising a restoration? maybe conditions are right for it, but i think fresh and new is the threat to him, not necessarily the left. the only thing i say in this, i worry we re trapped in the past. meaning we know how things work before. we ve never had donald trump as president so we have no idea how this works. we fight the last election, not the one that s coming up. so, no, we have no idea how really to run against donald trump. what s going to work or not work against we don t know. we have some idea of how the president will campaign. but this is we re in should it matter to democrats
